Is it just me, or does it appear that your variator starts shifting before the clutch is fully engaged? It does. It always has for me with anything that requires late engagement. I've heard so many times about using a stiff contra to stop that. The problem is, by the time I then make the weights heavier to counteract the stiffer rear spring, I'm right back to where I started. That's why you haven't seen me bother with even stiffer clutch springs though. Not saying it definitely wouldn't make an improvement, but in the past these have been the best compromise that gets results. At some point I give up on what any logic may say and just go by actual test and tune, which showed me that this works better than softer springs that had less shifting before engagement.

Brent, you get some super strange people in the comments section on YT. Holy crap. Just read through some of the comments section and just wow, that's all I can say. I can't really recall ever reading through the comments section on YT and walking away with anything useful. If I were you (which I'm aware I'm not), I would ask myself what I actually gain from reading through the comments and make a decision to either continue reading them or not. Just keep in mind we do this stuff mostly for fun and if something is detracting from that enjoyment and is causing more harm than good, we should exercise rationale. You do A TON, I mean A TON of good and help lots of people, but we gotta draw a line somewhere. Just my two cents and either way, I greatly appreciate all of the concise and comprehensive knowledge you share and the many ways you do it. Truly amazing.
I'll step down from my little soap box now.

I'll keep reading them. Unless the post is a novel about wild ideas that I can't make sense of. Then maybe I skim. I get a lot of questions in comments and it's not like the forum where we have a bunch of people to answer. I try to read them largely for that reason, but again I do appreciate that people like what I'm doing and watch my stuff.

I was looking at the pipes classified for high end 77-100cc on scootertuning.ca. The 2FAST 86cc pipe is $435. The bargain of the group that's still supposed to be for 77-86cc is the Malossi MHR Big Bore at $353. There's a Most pipe that I think PIG had. Could be wrong, but I may have to check with him when I have money and see if he wants to part with an exhaust. If I can't get a pretty good price on something, I'll prob just go with the 2FAST. At least I have definitely seen videos of a couple of 86cc scoots that looked pretty wild with that pipe. I just have never followed anything name brand or hyper race so I will have to look into it and/or rely on advice from others with them. I'm guessing I'm also gonna have to figure out how to use a kickstand at that point. I'd love to be wrong, but I assume center stands must go when you get into racing exhaust. I'm such a scooter person that I don't even like kickstands.

Someone else commented about classifieds in European countries on YouTube as well. I'm just thinking the shipping would ruin that. It can be bad enough just shipping an exhaust in the US. Then the risk of something being wrong with it. That's why I'm not real sure that I'll end up doing anything other than buying new, plus the opportunity to maybe catch a sale like Black Friday or something where maybe I can have 10-15% off and shipping is covered anyway. Not sure if that applies to special order parts though.
I really need to look for info though. Like is the 2FAST exhaust better or much better than the MHR? Kinda doubt I'll find unbiased back to back dyno shootouts with setup details. Would sure be nice though.

2 Fast, Jolly moto, Roost, HK racing, and R & D, are the highest producing horsepower exhausts out right now. I think 2 Fast is a very nice choice 👍. Very nice.....

Won’t going with a race pipe raise the powerband/RPM, and decrease the life and drive-ability of the motor/scoot significantly?

Probably... but now I kinda feel like I gotta know what a hyper race is like in full trim. Hopefully I can have a whole other engine and this can be the toy for car shows. That or I guess I could just swap pipes to make it what I want. I dunno. Someone said that the race ignitions don't last as long as regular ignitions either. Not really sure why or if there's merit to it. It was a YouTube comment.

Maybe your next venture can be a streetable hyper race build!
