If I recall I think I had to use some 1/4” round just to beef it up. If using the bracket and only the bracket you’ll get some flex.

I'll prob put something under it, just for peace of mind that the whole deal doesn't snap off one day. I don't think I can easily remove the flex that I'm talking about, and if I did now then it wouldn't lean far enough. It's in the stand's connection to the bracket. I thought the one you sent was just old and worn, but this one is nearly the same.

The pivot pin is pretty sloppy on them. Maybe make a new bushing of some sort?

Added a piece of 1/4" round bar to support the bend in the side stand frame and to overlap the scooter frame. Waiting on a quick crappy paint job to dry so it can go back together.

My throttle was hanging the last time I took the scoot out for test runs. I was afraid to do little wheelies, even though they always make me happy, because I figured the throttle would stick and it would loop itself. Not sure what changed, but I took it all apart, lubed the cable, and now it seems fine. Checked torque on head studs and made sure the exhaust was still tight. I've enjoyed this setup with the Peace Pipe so I'll prob ride it at least one more time before I see what happens with the MHR.

I’m curious to see the difference in all the data you’ve gathered compared to the MHR pipe numbers. Plus, all the YT commenters can find another comment to echo constantly now.

Ran the Malossi Big Bore pipe on the calculator, looks like a 12.000 RPM unit, all of the % #'s are close to Frits Overmars ideal percentages..Appears to be a well designed pipe for that size engine...

So what you're saying is that it may actually be the magical U-bend pipe? I wonder if my exhaust smoke will now be golden or rainbow colored or something? Thanks for taking the time to do that John.

There may be a delay in using the MHR. Ryan and I were talking on the road trip to SC. He said it would be cool to see a drag race between T2 before and after. I've had the thought in the past to try to drag race myself on video, but the reason that I've never really done it is because I think it will be practically impossible to pull off with good cosmetics. So, if you've ever seen a video where someone clones their self, kinda like that... just way harder to do in this situation.
What would usually happen is that you'd set a camera up so it's very sturdy and doesn't move at all. I mean really not at all to do it right. Then you can shoot two shots and edit them together. Usually masking off part of one video and feathering the edges of the mask to kind of blend what doesn't look exactly right.
To make it the easiest, it would be filmed against a plain background with controlled lighting. To make it hard to pull off, you could film outside where lighting changes a lot, wind moves things, birds or insects can fly through... lots of variables.
Now if you wanted to make it really hard on yourself, you'd try it with non-professional tripods. Stuff like I have that really isn't that sturdy. Just pressing a record button can move the cam enough to throw it off for such a thing. To take it to the next level, try having to set up said equipment twice, perhaps days or could even be weeks apart. If pressing a button can throw something off, imagine trying to set it up twice exactly the same. Plus the DSLR's tripod mount has to be removed so I can change batteries and access the card and I will need to use it to film for the exhaust install, because I need more variables.
Add to that the fact that I don't own a drag strip. I will have to find a way to do this on some public road. At this point I don't even know where I could possibly expect to spend something like an hour trying to get cameras setup with no traffic and no one coming to kick me out. Plus I'll probably have to load the scooter in a truck, unload. Setup. Take it down. Load the scoot back up. Can't carry all the gear on the scoot.
I got a couple of replies asking a group of videographers for advice and the replies were basically that it's going to be a headache and not likely to work well because there are just so many issues to worry about.
Sounds like a blast right? Just the kind of thing that makes sense to try for a video that doesn't get many views. Naturally I'm gonna try it. I think I'm going to waste a whole lot of time and fail miserably. If I'm lucky, I'll end up with a split screen side by side that I could do much more easily. I think it would take a whole lot of miracles to end up with anything better than that. If I were a betting man, I'd put odds on just seeing the usual acceleration run with a 0 to time comparison.
Just an update so no one wonders what is taking me so long to mount a pipe and you'll understand why I'm irritable for a while. lol

I'm already screwin' this up and getting aggravated. Bought about $35-40 worth of stuff to make a camera holder for the GoPro and make marks on tripods. Was considering one for my old camcorder too, so I bought extras. Got ready to work on it and realized that I bought 1" instead of 3/4" PVC. I did at least make a base. Just need to finish up with a pole. This will probably be a finish line cam so only a couple of feet tall. I was thinking about putting 1/2" PVC with angle cuts as stakes on the bottom to keep it good and secure. The problem is that I'm not sure exactly where I'll be filming yet so it may or may not work for me. While I was doing that, I was thinking about this more. Maybe it would be easier to accomplish if I could do runs with both pipes closer to back to back without moving cameras? For that to work, I'd need to note what this setup is (tuning) and then install the MHR and see what needs to change. Then setup cameras and do a few runs with 1 pipe. Swap exhausts and swap tuning bits. Do a few more runs. Hopefully all without having to move a tripod. Most likely I'd still move them to some degree just hitting record and power, but it would likely be my best chance at this working. The tough parts there are how much work I'd need to do. If it's sliders and maybe a jet, then I can do that. If it's sliders, jet, needle, mixture, timing, and clutch springs... I'm probably not going to want to do that anywhere that I setup and it really stretches out the time requirement for no cars/cops/etc... coming to bother me. I don't know any way to know for sure what the difference in these 2 setups is without going through installing and tuning the MHR first. The other thought I had could make this all even dumber than already realized. If it doesn't change a whole lot, it's probably about pointless. Numbers would illustrate it just fine if it's not far off. Checked out a few places today that I thought about for filming and I think they're all no-gos. Only have 1 idea left in a business park. Would have to be on a Sunday so it's mostly closed. The business right by the section that I may be able to do it at now has a collector car storage facility on it that claims 24/7 surveillance and on-site security. Don't know anyone with a business that has a big enough lot that I could ask either, so it may all fall through for lack of anywhere to do it before I even get to almost certainly fail trying to film or edit anything.

Why not just do some timed runs documenting all the setup details(as you always do!) for both pipes..I'd be very happy to see a chart along with a few runs with your helmet cam..The doubters can go f**k themselves!!

Why not just do some timed runs documenting all the setup details(as you always do!) for both pipes..I'd be very happy to see a chart along with a few runs with your helmet cam..The doubters can go f**k themselves!! It's not about the doubters. It's something that I think would be cool. This is one of those things that has to be for me. I'll spend many hours plus gas and parts to try this, which will be just a small part of a video that in total will probably earn $10-15 total if I'm lucky. Or it may not be part at all because I expect to mess it up so it could be a complete waste of my time and aggravation. I will absolutely do timed runs regardless. One of the things that I think would be cool is seeing the difference in times and what that looks like in a short drag race. Kinda put some meaning to numbers. Sure, we could probably math out the distance difference in two sets of 0-30,40,50 runs... but seeing it makes a different impression. That said, even if I do manage to get close enough for some half-ass shot, I don't expect this to be something I try again. Maybe with a CDI swap or something easier if I get really ambitious with any projects. Part of it may be just trying to push myself to try something new instead of just thinking it's too hard and immediately dismissing an idea. The pipe seems like the most rational time to give it a try. That has absolutely been the biggest point of contention throughout the whole TPR experience. I both want huge power from the MHR and want it to be near equal to the Peace Pipe for my own personal reasons (because we all need more power... but I really like the Peace Pipe and respect what is involved with it). Regardless, to me the tests are there to disregard all of my thoughts or hopes and just show things how they are to the best of my ability.

Dang, I have some very heavy duty speaker tripods laying around unused. Could have brought them with me on the trip to John's. I will look into shipping costs for them.
