not really sure how much more bad ass of one I can get my hands on than my 600 ft/lb IR gun. Not really looking to buy a 400 dollar impact gun to service an 80 dollar scooter. That for some reason does not sound logical to me.

I figured you were using a little electric one or something. Try heating the nut before using the impact.

Try and aim it so it hits the nut only the best you can. It wouldn't be my first choice, but if you've let PB Blaster soak in and you still can't get it with a 600ft-lb impact wrench, you're running out of options. I don't suppose you can turn the air pressure up more to the impact? I know for stubborn stuff I'll move my regulated pressure from 90 up to 120psi or sometimes above.

somtimes you can use a nut splitter www.amazon.com/Nut-Splitter-Tools-2-Pc-Set/dp/B0000AX88QI am not sure you have clearance on either of those nuts. if red or blue loctite was used, then you need to heat the nut up with a propane torch can you see any color on the end of either shaft ? if so a thread locker was probably used. quick heat right on the nut for 15 sec or so, then hit it with the air impact

I'll keep soaking it and trying it over the next couple days. Otherwise I'll do some heat. It doesn't look like it has loctite on it but I'll look closer. It sucks because everything else on this scooter was barely tightened!!

So I got the flywheel nut off with.... You guessed it an impact drill. Mustve pulled a serious pickle jar syndrome with the gun. Went to use my 27x1 flywheel puller and it doesn't fit > so has anyone ever seen one that's a different size? Back wheel still won't come off

Nobody had any smaller than 27mm x 1 in stock so I got a bit creative with some harbor freight bits. Pics to come. Flywheel is off

So this is my jimmyrigged flywheel puller. Worked perfectly. Just used some cvt cover bolts in the fan bolt holes and tightened the center bolt. Post cleaning. Still really dirty. At least the case Isn't coated with greasy dirt anymore. Anyone have any better cleaning utensils for getting into the nooks and crannies? Even these guys couldn't get some of that dirt. Oil pump gone! Looking a bit like a scoot again

Been out of town so I haven't had any time to work on it over the past couple days. Now that the motor is back in, I want to hook up just the essentials to get the motor running. How much of the harness is actually necessary to run the motor? I'm assuming the stator, coil, cdi, ignition, and a battery. Does that sound about right?
90gtvert, Can you move this to the builds or pics forum? I'm gonna start documenting the rest of the build up and any modifications I do.

It will run with CDI, coil, and stator. If you don't hook up ign/kill switches it's not gonna shut off without pulling off the plug wire and shocking yourself.

Cool. Im going to have to order a new ignition switch because mine is broken and I have no key. I'll just wire in an on/off switch for now. That should work yes? Is there a diagram like that for fuel lines on the carb? I have a feeling mine aren't currently going where they're supposed to

On/Off switch will work. Off will be on though.
Carb should be pretty simple. Largest nipple is for fuel. Small nipple on the top of the outlet side of the carb is a vacuum source. Small nipple on the side should be oil injection.

Small nipple on the side should be oil injection. I think it may actually be ok then. The vacuum line goes into the back of the vacuum petcock which should be drawing a vacuum from the vent on the gas tank? My intake doesn't have any nipples so I'm assuming that's where it's drawing vacuum from. Need to cap the oil nipple off since I'm premixing now. Nothing needs to run to the float bowl on the bottom? There's sort of a "nipple" there too

The only hose off of the float bowl would just be for draining the bowl.
