Ok, you guys at least cheered me up and made me laugh Nice subliminal messaging In any case, I'm not gonna be able to get you that throttle cable now, Brent. Unless you want the "new" one? Otherwise, I might have a spare one that's missing one side of the splitter cover.

Well, things arent going too good for me today. I had to completely eliminate the idle screw on the PHVB, because it stuck out way too far and I couldn't fit the carb into the area it needed to be. For some reason the idle and air mixture screws are on the opposite side that the Mikuni is, so the frame is in the way of everything. I have no idea how I'm gonna be able to use the air mixture screw either.
Then I put the carb on and get it all set up, go to put the air filter on, and there's absolutely no possible way to fit that in there at all. I have about a 2 inch gap between the end of the carb mouth, and the plastic/frame. I'm thinking the only way I'm gonna be able to fit an air filter in there is if I use one of those little " bell mouth" filters
Then I go to at least try and start it up for the first time, get the gas flowing, and it comes leaking out down below. The float bowl gasket on the carb has been compressed too much, and doesn't actually close anymore. So I'll need a new float bowl gasket, for a carb that will be basically impossible to find one for.

I kinda went with Brents method but placed my filter facing forward. Sorry the carb is such a pain on your ride! Wish i could help more

I think it would be an insane headache to try and make a gasket for that carb. It uses the same style of gasket as the Mikuni, where it's a rubber piece that slides into a groove. It's only about 1mm thick, so trying to slice a piece of rubber that thin and not screw up would be nearly impossible. I'm seriously considering whether or not this is even worth the effort. It seems like just 1 issue after the next, and it's going to keep turning into more of a money-pit.

So I got it all put together yesterday, got it fired up, and went for a ride. I got about 2 blocks from home and the engine went "pop" and smoke started pouring from under the seat. I blew 'er up!

With my luck lately, I wouldn't be surprised if it actually did blow up after I finally get it running. But I'm still working on it for now, so no worries (yet) :zap:
