When I look at dropped scooters out there it makes me kinda sad to see my Jog that high, but going to a lapping event with a dropped scooter might not give good results. There's not that much lapping organized but it's fun to have a ''multipurpose'' scooter.
Dropped scooters are looking AMAZING ! I just hope the wheelbase is long enough so I don't do a wheelie each time I hit the throttle... If I'm not safe doing lapping with this one I'll drop it and make it longer for a better handling in drag racing. I'll make it run and see what I'll do with engine mount, fork height etc.
There will also be some delays before I receive a good water pump ( Bosch ), carburetor and clutch. I do my best to not cook this engine . I just got this news, so I have more than enough time to repair the crankshaft threads.

Rust patina on the exhaust -_- When taking it off, there is grey spots (bare steel) and rest of the pipe is blue-ish and brown-ish, which doesn't look good. Started polishing it !

Thank you ! I has a mirror finish around the weldings but it's kinda blurry between the welds. Engine fitment, bracket and stinger needs to be polished (it's not finished)
Autosol polish does a great job!

Maybe 3 hours. Longest is to make the weldings finer (and take out the clear coat in my case), then the rest of sanding goes pretty fast. I tried a polishing wheel on a buffer but it didn't changed anything compared to polishing by hand.

That looks really good. It's amazing what a good polish can do. Reminds me of the Leo Vince GP pipe Brent polished. You would not think it was the same pipe from the before and after pictures.

Only bad thing now is that I don't have the M12X1.25 die in my kit. I'll find one this week, I can't wait to hear it run ! I'll receive my water pump and other parts this week. After some weldings to the frame, and a good setting on the dyno, it will be ready !

Received the Bosch water pump. Didn't came with a connector so when I was going to pick my Jetta's dipstick tube, I took some VW coolant (which seems to work the best for me with aluminum parts, no deposits!) and they gave me a connector for the pump, which I think is also used on some vw/audi engines as an auxilary water pump. It was around $20 online at some places only for the connector. I'm looking to find a way to install it on the scooter, I'm hesitating to install it under ''fairings'' like lots of guys are doing, or maybe installing it to look like a mechanical water pump (making a cover for it, installed on engine case). The VW coolant is pink/purple and looks nice, I will get some transparent hoses for it. I have a coolant filler cap with a 2-hose connector in my parts I'll use to fill coolant, and I have a coolant reserve I'll plug on the cylinder head's small coolant connectors/bleeders. I need to repair 2 scooters, then I'll have more money to make a copy of my Jog hood in fiberglass. The oem hood doesn't fit as-is with the big wheel and lowered shocks so it will be a good time to mod/adjust it without modding the stock front fairing. I tried to mold shapes with pink polystyrene insulator and it seems to work far better than the technique I used for the Zuma ( I wish I used this, it would have been completed in no long time). I might use it to fab a rear end and other panels, but that's not an hurry. I'll do some touch-ups to the cases epoxy then I'll assemble it again, I'll put oil all around the crankshaft this time Yes there is still a lot of works to do, but I plan to be able to go drag racing at local strip before the end of summer. Some pictures of the new parts tomorrow!

Well I didn't added the pictures as supposed ( I missed parts I wished to receive but it wasn't the case and I forgot). Little update: Letters aren't as great looking as I expected ( I should have used Mask-it instead of masking tape) I'll correct them with the same technique I used for the cylinder's letters. Sorry for having dirt everywhere (it makes it look like it's all rough) but I patched the air bubbles of the Devcon with JB Weld. I will never use JB Weld again for application where there is a lot of stress, but it's way easier to sand than the Devcon, it's like using strong body filler then using touch-up body filler. Left is my old 24mm (for sale if someone is interested pm me) and right is the new 30mm New disc brake kit (wasn't bolt-on when I received it, needs some work. We might sell a bolt-on kit on scootertuning.ca ) Throttle kit The clutch There's some more I'll add later when my cell phone battery will be charged so I can take the pictures.

That disc just fits in the wheel, I do like a wavy disc. Nice job.

Well, the disc ''bore'' didn't matched the wheel bore (the kind of circle on the wheel the discs inner bore fits around to be centred). The disc inner bore was smaller so when I tightened it the disc, it binded towards the rim, so I had to shim too much ( the caliper was touching the wheel lip). Once machined it fits as it should Only 200mm (stock is 180mm) but you can't go larger on oem zuma wheels because the caliper will touch the wheel, or the disc screws will rub against the forks. 12 or 13 inch wheels on a jog frame is just too big IMO. I'm looking for a 120/70-10 tire for the front, if someone has a link for a good tire with good rubber compound ( not cheap tires or winter tire) send it to me .

I ordered the 2013 modular MVT cylinder head. I'm waiting for it then I assemble everything. I'm coming back to school with more time to work on the builds, only week-end shift at work. And I'll have access to a full machine shop with CNC's and blah blah blah at school so frame will be done correctly.
