I used stones/cutters to enlarge the combustion chambers on mine. First one I ever enlarged I had a machinist do for about $20. I have been shooting for about 7:1 corrected compression ratio lately. Working well on the street for me, but you could push it up some and be more aggressive. Sometimes I just check with a compression tester and look for 150-180psi. 49ccscoot.proboards.com/thread/5043/calculating-stroke-compression-ratios

thanks brent....i just did a compression test...with 2.49mm of squish i have 130psi of compression....i took the head gasket out...with it out i have 2.0mm of squish and i am getting 140psi of compression....my starter is having no issue turning it over with 140psi compression....im thinking i need to take about 1mm off the head....

Prob a good bet. Then if comp is too high you can add a head gasket back in. Copper ones are a little thinner too if you can find one.

well i took the head to my buddys house and shaved 1mm off of it on the lathe...i made a gasket out of a pop can...my squish is now 1.23mm and my compression is 160psi....much better....the starter is a wee bit slower but still turns it over fine....i think i found the sweet spot....i have a few pics i will post when i get a chance to upload them...thanks again Brent....have a happy Thanksgiving...

here is some pics to update everyone on what i'm doing... its cold ans snowy here in Ohio and i don't have a heater for my garage so i pulled the scoot in the kitchen to do some work on it....one of the benefits to being single.... the other day i had some free time on my hands at work so i figured i would make a boost bottle out of stuff laying around the shop...this is what i came up with... the bolt in the end is to adjust the volume of the bottle.... setting the head up in the lathe to shave it down to get the the squish and compression where i want it... shaved 1mm off... gasket made out of a redbull can...i guess you could say i gave my scoot wings...lol..puns squish is 1.23mm and compression it 160psi... this is where im at right now but im putting an order in for parts tomorrow...

The Triton looks great. Think that's the best pic I've seen of it with those lights. Really like it.
Don't expect a lot from the boost bottle. I dunno that you'll be able to tell anything adjusting volume.
Should be a lot stronger setup like it is now.
Wonder what's coming next?

I found that this kind of aluminum waves in no time... At least, I got a huge head leak because of this when the zuma was on the road..

I'll take a look on the chart, and yes this aluminum seems to weave once it took some heat.

I am pretty sure the W16 is the same taper as the W6 but the overall length is shorter? Been awhile since ive looked myself but i have used that needle in a street set-up. Usually W6-7,s
