I ordered the Dello 21mm from SIP (and some other stuff) from SIP on Sep 30th. There was some error trying to use PayPal so I could use what money I had in the balance there and they charged me and never placed my order. Got that refunded so I guess I'll try again with the credit card as I usually do. Just letting you know why you haven't and prob won't hear much on this one for a bit.

I got a bunch of stuff I really couldn't afford to get! lol Trying to get a few parts around so maybe I'll finish my other scoots one day. 21mm DellOrto Black Racing Edition 2 5mm intake spacers (Tritons) 4mm intake spacer (Venus) TNT Handlebars for T1 I ordered the spacers becasue they're aluminum. I have a bad habit of cracking my homemade spacers eventually. Those damn intake bolts just never feel quite tight enough for me. From Scootercraft I got : 22mm Motoforce Intake (looks like stock... I'm thinking I shoulda measured my stocker) Stage 6 Choke cable Malossi MHR Reed Block (for T1 or T2) I'm hoping I don't need a new cable/throttle/filter etc... I'd like to get soem xmas shopping done soon. I'm usually done in October or ideally the end of September. I've been too broke (or spending money on scooters to be more accurate) and barely done anything so far.

The order from SIP came in early, but it didn't really matter. I got the intake and reed spacer on, but I can't seem to make the stock cable work with it. I can either make it close enough for idle or open all the way, but not both. I guess my stock stuff just doesn't have enough travel. So far the only carb I've ever been able to just bolt on is the 19mm Arreche, and it sucks. lol I guess I'll end up ordering a new throttle cable and throttle assembly. I thought for a minute that I might actually get a ride in with my father on a nice weekend, then the scooter gods said no. I almost ordered a throttle with it, but I thought the stocker would work on a 21mm.

I saw a thread where you swap the throttle and oil pump cables in the junction box to get more cable pull, had to do this with the VM22 carb, worked great!Still long for a true 1/4 turn throttle though...

Swapping the cable around worked to some degree. I can't 100% clear the venturi with the throttle valve at WOT, but I think I might have more slack to take out once I get the idle set up. Thanks again.
I can't get this thing started. It's soaking the plug no matter what I do. I know these things are jetted rich from what everyone says, but I don't have any jets. I thought it used jets like my 24/25mm Dells, but it doesn't. That's what I get for not doing my research. It's got a 92 main, 50 pilot, and 60 starter jet. If anyone knows a good source, I'm hoping to order today from a spot in the US with quick shipping. Best place I've found so far is Scootercraft. $27 for 10 mains, and $5 a pop for each of the three (35,40,45) pilots they have in stock.

Man that sucks! A nice screw on top but jets that wont fit. What a load! How far are the from fitting? I have been thinking about getting one someday, so this is good to know. What else is different? Got any pics? I swear i used my stock cable on mine. It barely fit my 21 but it did. Maybe i had switched my throttle and oil cables and forgot :stumped: . I still have the cable block and all, but not for long

I actually don't liek the screw top. It sucks with the stock cable since it's threaded on. I have to pull the carb off and spin it around instead of the top. I'd take the bolt on tops anyday with a stock cable. Now with a standard cable taht just sits in the little reciever on the carb's top, it would be OK. Can't say it's easy enough that I really would consider it an advantage over screws for my tastes even then. Mainly it would be nice not to worry about losing the screws. I was trying to set up the Stage 6 choke last night and dropped the little barrel that holds the cable. I bet I searched for 30 minutes before I finally found it. :swear:
I'll get some pics up later I hope.

Can a standard PHBG be modded with the quick change bowl to turn it into a "race' carb?

Could you tap the needle jet to fit the standard jets that you have hundreds of??

I'd guess the walls would be a little thin if it was tapped for the larger jets, not that there should be much stress on that part. I ordered the jets yesterday though. I ordered the 70-92 jet kit and three pilot jets. Hopefully that will work.
