I think it is the Stage6 exhaust flange angle. Both of my S6 cylinders needed work to mount pipes to. I use rollers for spacers at the engine mounting points and made brackets out of flat bar at the pipe mount brackets. I used aluminum here but the rear broke. Steel is better IMO. Yeah, mine seem to end up at a weird angle, and I have to clock the bracket on the pipe to get it parallel to the mounting bracket, its really strange.

I installed the step cut head today. Without a head gasket squish was .52mm pretty much all around the cylinder. I thought .52mm might be just a little tight so I used a common copper gasket from a 50cc that I opened up to fit the head, then I annealed it. The torqued squish ended up .73mm and compression went from 120psi to 140psi.
At the same time I also installed the turbokit exhaust. The pipe is just too much for this cylinder. The motor will not rev beyond 5k or 6k. It is interesting to see first hand how much a pipe can affect a build.
Tomorrow I will try the Malossi MHR pipe, if it does not work, I can always go back to the RSII pipe, which is the pipe that I have been running. I forgot to bring the RSII pipe home tonight so I could measure it, so maybe tomorrow I will remember to bring it home.

Tried lighter rollers or anything else to see if you can get it to hit? No. I didn't even think about trying that. I think I have 4.5G sliders in there now, I have some lighter ones I could try out. Also the exhaust port on the cylinder is not matched at all to this much larger pipe. Will that cause issues just testing?

^^^That's a good point. My setups all run lighter rollers than others. I was running the 3.8 gram that came with the OR before I tried some sliders. The rollers will be going back in. Others are running 8+ gram rollers. Prior to the OR it was 5 gram. My scoot won't hit the pipe with the heavy stuff.

I wouldn't worry about matching ports (within reason) while trying pipes. No sense matching it up to one just to find that you don't like it and then the next pipe possibly can't be made to match well from what was done for the last.
The first time I tried a higher rev pipe I thought the thing was weak till I realized I just wasn't getting RPM where it needed to be. Rich jetting and needle settings can make it even harder for a pipe to hit.

my cheap ebay pipe bolts up to my streetrace cylinder really nicely. i have 4g rollers in mine. if it didn't start out in a high gear it would be faster. but it shoots right up to its powerband (9,000-10,000) and the cvt does its job. maybe you could borrow my pipe to try?

Thanks for the offer bro, but I may just pick up one of those feebay cheapo pipes anyway. So I slapped the Malossi MHR pipe on this morning, and it was a horrible fit! I guess it would fit a Zuma correctly? I did not even bother to start the motor just to see how it sounds. As you can see it hit the tire and stuck way out to the side. While the MHR would not fit this build, I had a good idea of what it might fit on, so I took the MHR to the scooter shop where the 99cc build is, and just as I suspected it fits like a glove! The pipe easily clears the 12" low profile wheel, and looks good to boot! With any luck, I will get the 99cc running by the weekend.

I also put the RSII pipe back on, after getting it's measurements. I took it for a brief ride because it was so cold. I could tell that it pulled a bit harder with the higher compression head, but that's about all I checkd due to the weather.
Squish and compression are currently at .7mm and 140. I wonder if it would be ok to set the squish to .5mm which would put compression around 160 or so? Before I monkeyed with the durations on this build compression was 170 I think, and I did not have any issues that I know of.
I will get the Technigas RSII dimensions posted later tonight unless I get busy with work.

That ebay pipe performs better than I thought it would have guessed. Its has a few issues im going to fix on it this winter.

Some of the straight sections weren't round from the Bender used so I tried to average them. The Yasuni C-16 has the following angles; Head pipe 1.6 deg 1st stage diffuser 4.8 deg 2nd stage diffuser 5.8 deg 3rd stage diffuser 8.8 deg spacer/belly----- 1st stage baffle 5.8 deg 2nd stage baffle 12.7 deg Lots more angles there,but thats what makes a great pipe.. I guess the best low buck improvement for the TG Nextr 100cc would be to hack the headpipe off and work to make the transitions smoother..Dont know if its worth the effort though.. I think I will go ahead and try the MHR pipe on the 99cc motor, since it will not fit on the 70cc motor. I would feel safer with the RSII pipe on the 99cc since John thinks it should match well, but doing that would leave me with nothing to fit the 70cc motor except the turbokit pipe which may end up being difficult to get into tune. Either way it looks like I will be swapping pipes around for while.
