I'll get a video when it dries up. I haven't really been practicing much. Didn't think I could still pull them with the new belt on and the way the power curve was set up. But I still can. Found that out yesterday. I can do longer wheelies, but I'm having a hard time keeping my fingers on the back brake. Going to adjust it so it fits more comfortably while I'm standing. Almost shattered my taillight yesterday because of it. Strained to reach it as I was running behind the bike down the street while it was sitting on the back wheel and finally pulled the brake setting it down. Also going to see if I have the body weight and arm length to pull them sitting down. I think that might help my hand brake situation. Might have to wait for stiffer springs (contra and clutch) and a stronger top end from the pipe mod to pull them while sitting.

What I thought was neat, was how easy it looked for you to lift it up onto the center stand, I gotta really give it a go, :stars:

I have a 150 here that I have to lift up onto the stand every once in a while. It's not quiet as easy as the 50cc's. They are much heavier. I'm not a very big guy, so I kind of have to try on the 150. With the 50's I can just stand on the center stand give it a tiny yank and it comes right up.

I use the center stand all the time. Mom thing, worry someone will sit on it and knock it over.
The Popcorn's looking real nice!

So after about a thousand miles the clutch went. It started making a noise, but I ignored it waiting for a disaster. It finally came today. Luckily I was pulling onto my street when it happened and was still able to coast to my driveway. Symptom #1: Small noise gradually getting louder and louder Symptom #2: Very loud noise and then a sudden stoppage of the noise (not a good thing I knew) Symptom #3: Clutch was constantly engaged, slightly. I knew I had either broken a pill spring or it had come loose at this point. Rode like that for maybe 80-100 miles. Symptom #4: VERY VERY LOUD NOISE! Extremely difficult for the engine to move the scoot. And finally, I was forced to open it up and see what the hell happened. I was just glad it wasn't the clutch shaft bearing - and that's the reason I was so hesitant to check out the noises. Didn't want to take it apart and not be able to get it back together without a replacement. A new clutch is much easier to find

At least it looks like it didn't ruin the clutch bell. One of mine did this and gouged into the clutch bell bad. Make sure you get the right size when ordering or you'll need a new clutch bell to match the new size.

Make sure you get the right size when ordering or you'll need a new clutch bell to match the new size. Yeah I guess I got pretty lucky with what happened. I'm glad it didn't rip up my kevlar belt too! I'm not sure where to measure. I measured the inside of the bell (112mm). Ouch ! Ide say that shoe was done doing that job huh ? Now its a paper weight ;D! I have plenty of clutches drawkward. You can have one if you would like . Yeah I'd say so. It has over 8,000km on it. And it was ridden very hard durring the snow storms we had over here. I'm sure all that slipping and grabbing that back tire did in the storms, and the burnouts I was doing with my old tire for fun didn't help it much. The only thing I really wish I would have seen is if it was the actual shoe failing, or a faulty spring installation that came out, got jammed in the shoe, and caused the failure. Guess I'll never know. PM sent about the clutch!

Thanks man I just went through the thread again real quick and realized I hadn't really posted any pictures of the bike after it was painted and set up. The temp fog light is gone now, old pictures - I was just waiting on bulbs while it was on. I would get some new photo's, BUT the popcorn is sitting by itself without a motor while the Mati sports the 9,000km 1E40QMB with blue wheel. A bit of a hybrid, but I like it.

The Popcorn needs some blue stickers or something on the back. Looks really good though.

Why the switch of engines? Popcorn getting some frame mods?

The popcorn's front wheel is bent, so it bounces around at full speed. The tank is busted too, so I have to use a screw driver to open it. The mati was just sitting around not being used. I just got the idea one day to switch it out. I actually really like the switch though. Once I get the cylinder for the Mati straightened out I'll have everything back to normal. As for the rear of the Popcorn being to white, I completely agree. I was thinking I could paint the rest of the mud flap part around the taillight blue, and pop a Polini sticker somewhere back there. Or maybe I can order a nice baby-blue 49ccscoot.com sticker

Every scooter needs a 49ccScoot.Com decal, but even doing the mudflap area in blue would be nice.
