N my way into work last night, everytime I would try and go wot, it would rev for a few seconds then stop, and I had to let go of my throttle on the 200 yard trip to work like 15 times. Changed the carb and it stopped, I just can't seem to get it to idle.
I went .003" on both. Oil was black, so that is now changed, and as for right now, I'm going on to the gas tank.

Still doesn't want to idle. The only way I can get the engine to stay running is to keep the wheel spinning. When the wheel stops spinning from the idle screw, it will stall out and die. The a/f screw is 2 1/2 turns out ish.

Check all vacuum hoses for cracks and make sure they are connected securely. Any hose coming off of the carb or intake (other than fuel) is vacuum.

All lines are secure except for the carb overflow ( like 4 inch tube) and the tube coming from the valve cover is not connected to anything. The vacum hose from the fuel tank is attached at both ends, all other tubes are on the holes securely.
I took all my old hoses off my old ped and will proabbly try and exchange them tonight. Another 11-7 haha

The tube comeing from the valve cover connects to the air box.

Apollo it ran to the air intake hose, but this ones does not have a hose to connect to. Where should I connect it to? It's just hanging off under the engine.

The breather pipe can be routed up the frame and down the inside of the rear splash guard so it vents out the rear of the scooter. That way any bad fumes or oil mist that come out of it won't end up all over your engine. www.scooterforumonline.com/index.php/topic,1851.0.html Or, you can do like this guy and put it into a soda can and drain the can periodically. Either way works. I prefer the first method.

I like the first method also. Although the pop can is pretty stylish. :-)

New update. I finnally filled the tank up with premium gas right as I got off work. 2stroked stopped by and we were formally introduced, along with skeedr.
Well anyways, the electric start doesn't work, but it still kick starts. When I filled up the gas tank however, the speedo started working. The gas guage is off (says half a tank but I just filled it to the top) but other than the gas guage being off, the speedo works.
This new discovery, along with no ele start, makes me wonder if there is a short somewhere? Or just bad wireing? Any suggestions here?

Good to meet ya stoop ;D! Im guessing maybe a bad connection the way it sounded. Or maybe the starter is week and or dirty? Wonder if you have something hanging up in the clutch or cvt causing it to die w/out the wheel spinning :stumped: ?

Just remembered, i worked on a guys scoot just like yours that had a speedo that would work and not work on and off. I told him about it and said i could take a look. He never worried about it tho. I also noticed on that same scooter that if you backed it up the speedo would go backwards. Never had one do that? Maybe it was because it didnt have a "stop" pin or something? I think your on the right track wanting to get a sigma or another speedo period. These chinometers are never right on....Not seen one yet!

Can I remove that emisions piece without any problems? It has a vacuum line going to a little box, and that little box has that thick braided cord in the picture going to it, and a tube comes off of the little box that goes to some sort of filter ( it's a black looking fuel filter or something) but after the filter it is not connected to anything. The Apollo did not have it, so I don't see why it needs it? But I'll leave it on if it has some sort of use?

You can take it off, but take it all off or its pointless to worry about. When i did one i took everything off and plugged the big braided tube with a big bolt and a hose clamp. If you cant weld, ya gotta plug that hose somehow or exhaust will leak bad!

Actually you don't have to weld to plug that port off. You just make a steel plug out of some 3/16 plate and drill two holes in it. Then you can remove that metal tube. Use the gasket if you can otherwise some RTV silicone will work. I think you don't need to plug off the valve cover side of things. That part is separated from the valve cover/oil. The plug goes on where the yellow circle is. On an EGR/SAIS engine there's a port there.
