Exactly what I bought for a piston kit. Using the shorter cylinder. I think 90gtvert had 77 before. Have you opened up your exhaust port from oval to circle to match your pipe yet?

My MHR Rep that I got from almighty spaz12 looked same if not worse and he cleaned it, honed it and now it runs at 10000-11000 rpms without any issues. Yours will run too from the looks of it.

Nope, i was looking and cylinder and i see some things that could be improved upon. Im not messing with it at this time. I know what it needs and it runs great when running. Might me something i do in the future though. The tripple exhaust ports are a joke! They are so small they are clogged with carbon, need opened a bit. First i want to get my other build going on.

Yeah After the meet. Definetley try and match your exhaust port to the header. I also dremeled the inside of my exhaust so nothing catches on the lip.

I gotta agree the triple port Ex is worthless on that jug!Cant be opened due to the super thin bridge area..Better off to go with a stupid simple single Ex port and grind it to a better(MO FLO) pattern..Our close set cylinder studs keep us hamstrung to tiny port ducting..Better off polishing a single Ex port turd!!

I tried opening up those jokes of "aux ports" on my Hoca 54 and went through to the cylinder stud pretty quickly. I patched it up with quiksteel and been running like that for about 6 months now. Mine were totally caked shut also...

Bet these aux ports dont get carboned up!Note how they sleeved the stud..Super extreme drag race example I found a few years back...

Holy Cow! That one on the top right looks dangerous (to rings)! Can see just how much bigger they made it!

Holy Cow! That one on the top right looks dangerous (to rings)! Can see just how much bigger they made it! I agree! That thing looks like a ring snagger!i would be satified with the one on the left studs running through and all! The ones on the hoca arent even worth being there, just so it can be marketed as tripple xport. There is a little bit of casting material that i think could safely be removed. Its horrible..

I have looked at the 53mm hoca lc cylinders. They could be a good time on a street build, maybe in the future. Would sure help me out here in Texas during the summer.

I opened mine up a little without breaking through, but not much. I still prefer single port. I think the Hoca is good for a bolt on that you don't wanna mess with a whole lot.

Got my piston in last night. Started working on it then had to go to sons football game. Finished it up before work and still made it here by 7am. Typically i would stay close to home afyer doing such work. I had the back wheel off and the td to do some repairs. Hopefully the ride home is just as good! I tried not to go crazy with the revs and rode around a parking lot at different rpms to break it in a bit before hitting the rode. So far so good!

It definitely rides different as far as rpm range and cvt shifting. Has good compression can tell by the kick starter, it wont idle either. One would think since everything is identical it would ride the same but a hone and new piston seems to have warranted some carb tuning. I have to get the mhr cvt set up off there also, going back with the hoca. Had better experience with it, save the mhr cvt for my lc build.
