Str8 Downhill bars and neck, S6 quick action throttle w/switches, LED front flashers and relay, grips and a S6 bar pad. Have to eat Mac n cheese and wait a week or two to order a gauge set. ;-)

Got the bars, stem and other goodies. I got the bars mounted and used a brake lever from my Trek bike for the rear since I got a new switch unit and the stocker is connected to the lever. I have plans for new levers so it's temporary. I quit for the night after sorting the wiring for a bit. More work tomorrow afternoon. Attachments:

Here's a look at where I left off. The bars are 2" narrower and about 1" lower. I think I could have used the shorter stem but I was worried about fit. I may still. Attachments:

Making some progress this morning before I go into work for a bit. Got everything wired and the new blinkers. I new I ordered small but damn these are tiny. I like them though. You can't see them real well because of the sun beaming in but the left is on about 3/4 of the way up the fairing. Got the throttle to do, heat up the connections and put it back together. Then wait for more parts. Attachments:

Done for now until I get some new levers and can move things around. My bike lever is too short to put on the other side of the switch unit. I added a toggle switch by the key since I didn't have a kill switch with this unit. There is a small button on the throttle that is used as a starter button it could be used as a kill button but no on/off. Took a ride and passed a group on Harley's who had just pulled out of the dealership and I had to wait for before I could turn and go. Got a what the hell look. Lol! A food truck revved and stomped it. When I looked over he was smiling and gripping the wheel at ten and two with the slide door open. That was funny. I hit it and took off. The scoot feels more agile with the narrower bars sitting a tad lower. I'm sure it's in my head but that's cool. I like it! :-)

Thanks Brent. I ordered some lever that will help. I pulled my sigma speedo of the Trek too and will get that mounted after I get a battery for it. I don't like butchering my bike for parts but the brake lever will go back on it. Do you remember what tire size you programmed your speedo for. I've got a 120/70/12 on the front. Also have to find a magnet. Any ideas?

1,468. I use a GPS to verify and adjust till they match up. Both scoots with a 12" wheel had slightly different numbers. I think one was 1,471.
You can find disc magnets cheap on eBay or Trail Tech sells magnet kits that go on the wheel or brake rotor or bolts with magnets in the head.

I got some stuff in. Since going to bar bars I've mounted a trail tech tach that I had and never used and robbed my bike of it's computer for the speedo but I didn't have a fuel gauge. So I got this little guy and mounted it on the leg shield below the key. I can see it when riding and since it doesn't need to be monitored closely it worked out well and is clean. I also ordered a stainless brake line for my new levers I'm waiting on. Attachments:

Got home today and got started on the rims that were waiting for me. I sanded the outer edge of the rim starting with 250 grit and working to 1200 to remove the groves from the factory and give it a good brushed look. I think I'll need to clear coat when there complete. Here's a pic with the first coat going on. Bye bye red wheels. I went for a ride and filled up the tank. The new gauge was flashing with 2 bars left. I put .95 gallons in it so it was close to empty. Not sure what it will take when completely empty. Anyone? The gauge went to full after the fill up so it seems to be working. Attachments:

I assume it's the same as the Triton tank, which is 1.4 gallons.
Can't wait to see the new wheels installed. I've wanted those GT5 wheels for years and never spent the money. I think they're really nice looking wheels, and should be even better painted.
