Thanks. The front is cleaned and primed hanging at head level in the garage. Guess how I know what level it's hanging at. Ouch!!!!

Got the front wheel painted and decided to do the shroud and cvt cover the same graphite color. My cvt cover was chrome but was pitting in places. It'll scratch easy since I didn't take the chrome down, just sanded down the pits but that was the only chrome on the bike so it'll look better for awhile then it'll need to be blasted and redone. Going to wait to mount the tire until tomorrow. This has been a lot of work. Attachments:

Thanks Brent. The duplicolor wheel coating is very easy to work with. I'm normally a very poor painter.

Thanks Brian. I ended up using a primer on the front because it was pretty rough and there was a lot of bare chalky metal after I cleaned it. Hopefully it lasts. Dumb thing I did was point the new stem to the pipe side. I can still get to it and I'm not risking scratching it up but it was a brain fart move on my part.

They were pretty ugly paint wise before you started but they are cool looking wheels and they turned out nice

Got the cvt cover done and on. Looks like I'll need a blinging kick start lever now. That shock is pretty ugly now too. Lol. I found a strong little round magnet in the back of one of my several free harbor freight led lights that I epoxied to the rim for the speedo pickup. You can see it on the rim and the sensor on the fork under the fender. Attachments:

It's funny how one never seams to be done with these things. One little thing leads to another. Then someone asks why you just didn't buy a big bike because they don't understand that all the little and big changes we make to improve and personalize these is what we like about them. They are lots of fun and it doesn't require a mortgage to modify them to our liking. Very nice work

Thank you sir! These things definitely snowball on you but hell it's fun and a lot cheaper than modding cars and big bikes. I'm boxing some stuff up to send your way now.

Cool thanks I just got a look at the other rx8 I'm trying to buy. Not sure if it is going to happen. I think it's got an fm motor in it but with the wheel cover I couldn't quite read it. Plastic is all stitched togather with zip ties but it runs good and is a rider. At least I have first dibs on it but I don't want to get into a bidding war lol. May have to pull that Fender to see the code if it's an fm motor that affects the price lol

Everything is turning out great Dave. If you want a cheap way to bling up the kick start, that stock one is aluminum so you could sand and polish it.
