In my organizing I found the rubber flap that sits on top of the motor around the intake. Is it needed? My test runs have been done without it.

No, it's not needed.

So I ordered a c16 pipe, stage6 vario, springs, and a Doppler Alien filter. Any recommendations on starting jet sizes, roller weights and clutch springs.

The guy at scootertuningca where I got the cylinder said it was the best match so I'm hoping. Hoping my wife doesn't kill me! Lol. Going to have to get a tach now.

Treatlandtv shows idle jets and starter jets along with a couple needles for my dell 19. I have a good selection of mains but I read hear about pilot jets and needle jets I think. Can some explain what is what is what I might want to have on hand. Thanks in advance. Dave

Idle or pilot jet delivers fuel at low throttle openings. The starter jet is for the enricher, or choke as it's often called. Usually don't need to change the starter jet.

No c16 yet. Scootertuningca's supplier is suppose to get it this week. I ordered a Doppler alien filter to play with along with the stock air box w/o snorkel. Thanks Gt. I guess I'll just start with the main and clip tuning first and springs and weights.

Got a nice surprise today. I ordered a new speedo and had to get the newer LCD one for the GT5 because the wiring for the analog ones was different then mine. Anyway I was told it had 1 wire that mine didn't. So it came today and has a tach also and that wire runs it from the coil. Funny thing is the Trail Tech tach I ordered also came. Attachments:

I noticed some cracking around my stock intake(rubber). So at looking at intakes I've found a replacement motoforce pretty cheap but S6 has a MkII kit with boysen style reeds, gaskets and stuffer for $75. I know the V-Force reeds are the best but that won't solve my intake issue. Any suggestions? Also what if any gasket sealer do you use on intakes?
