Thanks but while I decided what I wanted cut I let a shop do the cutting. I'm sure I could have done the straight upper and lower slots but I really wanted the radius cuts in the center. So it was programmed into a cnc.

After some more cutting and abandoning my hose adapters I got the Doppler filter mounted. It's lean with a 90 main and has a flat spot around 40mph before climbing to 51mph gps. I'll up jet but what to do with the needle. Clip up, clip down? I always get mixed up on this. Here's pics of the filter and the tail.

Well after test riding earlier with the 90 jet I got to thinking I might have heard some spark knock. I checked my squish and it was .37. When I installed the bbk it was .6. I checked compression and it was 178. Holy Sh@$ batman. I added a aluminum base gasket and now have .67 and 160psi. Was I drunk when I set this up originally? I don't know but just went for a ride wot and the plug looks good to rich with the 90 main and no flat spot to 51mph.

Gaskets may have settled and reduced clearance.

I guess. Just glad it came to mind to do some checking. I hate to think about what could of happened had the pipe been here and it was turning some high revs.

I did a little carb tuning today. I was real lean to start and started getting much better before a front moved in. I ended with a 95 main and the scoot pulled good to 53 mph with tach reading 97-9800. When I get it back the idle goes down to 15-1600. It's set at 21-2200. What's this mean?

Could be rich from the larger main now. Prob need to readjust the mix screw. If you let off the gas and it idles low it's usually rich. If RPM hangs it's lean. Can be in the needle settings, but start with the mix screw.

It was lean at wot with the 90 and 92 after a 1/4mi run plug chop. White ring around the base. I'll do another run with the 95 tomorrow and adjust the a/f. On the Dell is it richer out on the screw? Attachments:

So my cvt parts should be getting here today. I pulled the stock vari off and the rollers are 4 grams. Is this where I should start? Should I also change the torque and clutch springs? Or one at a time and test. No pipe yet but the carb is real close. I have a S6 roller tuning kit, medium and hard torque springs and 3 sets of clutch springs and new belt coming. S6 sport pro vari.
