Dont know a thing about a vertical Mina,but a cylinder reed motor likes matched transfer tunnels,smooth rounded entries,opening up restrictions,,kinda like all 2T's !!  |

I think it will be less effective since the mixture is entering via the cylinder instead of the reed housing on the case itself. The cylinder itself might need more porting than the cases do.

You should have a look at older (late 80's, early 90's) MX bike's cylinders. There's plenty of real nice examples of how to port a reed inlet thats on the cylinder! |

Finally!!! I have heat in my garage. This should have done over month ago but I got screwed over by an electrician. I could wrench in a speedo now if wanted to. For us who live in cold climates, you know how sweat a heated garage is. Today is a good day.
Anywho, the crank should be here either tomorrow or Monday.

Glad you got some heat in the 'fun room'!I tend to not wander in the garage when its cold(been working in the cold all day..)soo I know youve got a big grin now..Just extended the the mad scientist lab season by several months in a year!! |
