Nah some dude late for work took care of that kid problem a few years back now. No grand kids in my future. I'm too old to start over now.

I had to split the cases. The crank wouldn't make a full circle. Got some pilot bearing bits in the crankcase. No big surprise there. Well Now I can do some port matching with the new cylinder.

Needle bearing failed. bye bye fancy aluminum BBK. I'll be down to one scooter for awhile I feel you man, had the exact same thing with the axis. Blown needle bearing for no apparent reason. That sucks! Did the cylinder itself survive or is everything ready for the bin? You have a 10pin crank right? If so i would just swap it for a 12pin, just to make sure this 'all of a sudden' breakdown doesn't happen again.

But everything else is gone. Hopefully I'll only need this motor for a month or so until I can get my other motor built and Installed.

Man, I just had this problem with a 12 pin bearing. It ruined the top end but crank was still good thankfully.

I got the cases cleaned up and ported. Installed the crank and got the cases together.

Installed the top end. The squish measured at .8mm so I added a head gasket. Ended up with 1.1mm. Haven't done a compression test yet, because I want the permatex to fully cure.

Took the first test drive today... I Never got the throttle over half way. I don't think 6.6g rollers are going to work its way to rpm happy. This is my first experience with a Malossi vari so its a learning experience. With the 95mj and the pod filter it's clearly running way to rich. I've never run less than a 95mj ever. So I think I'll just do a needle swap. I did notice a little slipping during cruise when goosing the throttle. It launches fine though. So Maybe I'm slipping the belt. What would the symptoms be if the primary gear on the idle shaft was slipping?

My redneck gear pressing job failed. I made and pressed a new idle shaft. My six inch gear puller did the job again much harder this time. Also totally ruined now
