My options are the techngas 100 or stock. What can I make more power with? The tech with port matching imo

Stock would be at a lower rpm the next r would bring the power band up and should make more power

The Technigas pipe should run fine with stock porting, carb jetting changes will be needed though..As moofus02 said it'll make more power than the stock muffler..

i am running a 43.5 crank and 52mm cylinder. My exhaust timing in 176d and trans are 126d. This is with a thin base gasket. I check the squish and i have 1.35mm. I am stuck with the "bubble" head but plan on getting a squish style head in the future.i have a copper head gasket in there ATM but i have not checked the compression. Did a leak down and i am good there. I wasnt too worried about cc'ing the head and figuring comp ratio. If it is too high i will adjust it, maybe make a base spacer. I hope to run at a "high" rpm and make good power with this motor. I cleared the aluminum out around the intake are and matched the base to the case. I dont know what my 70cc makes but i hope that this motor will put out a lot more! I figure if my 70 pulls to 9500 and this 96c pulls to 9500 it will make a lot more power. I know the technigas isnt the best but it is all i can afford and will outperform the stock exhaust?

there is a bar that i think is going to be an issue on my frame. I will likely have to remove it because the cylinder is sticking out too far(the shroud) But it isnt really an issue. i want to swap motors and put my reliable 70cc bbk with a starter in the jog that is completly stock and put this 96cc in the jog that is missing a few fairings. So my wife can ride the some what tame 70cc and have a basically stock jog with blinkeers, speedo e-sart ect

ok, i bought the technigas next-r 100cc pipe. i paid 158 for it new shipped. there was also a technigas rs2 which was 50 more dollars. It had more sections in the pipe and i assume it is more of a tuner pipe. I hope the one i bought will run better than stock and not a waste of money. Is it possible these pipe have baffles in them? Does the zx-r have a baffle inside the pipe? are they not true expansion chamber pipes? I have had a lot of atv pipes and never seen this type of thing. I will likely cut it open and remove the cone baffle if its in there, i think i saw where someone had done this?

The zx has a sound deadening inside the cone of the pipe to keep the thin metal from ringing. I don't know how much of a difference that makes. I would check the header for a restriction cone as well as the silencer. Not a bad price for that pipe shipped

It really does not have that ping to it, more of a brap brap

There was no visible restrictions on my 50 zx-r. But it must be inside because it doesn't have the metallic ping sound

The stuff inside is more for sound than restriction. Brent had a thread (exhaust tech? ) on cutting a zx apart and removing the sound stuff. The restricted pipes are restricted with a small cone in the head pipe at the flange. Mine was a us spec pipe and came without the cone restriction but you will find some in the states that have it. Brent had one

Ive heard the Technigas pipes are more quiet than other makes, dealing with expansion chambers for a long time tells me there is a baffle system within the chamber..A boroscope would tell the truth if available,or cutting that sucker in half would be the the "backyard" way..Ive noticed the low end pipes have weird angles and dimensions, but with a baffle system none of these figures matter anyway!A tapering head pipe leading to a chamber with a bit of volume will be loads better than a stock muffler with none of the above!!!

I think I could tell by the weight of it maybe. Wouldnt cost more to make a pipe that looks like a pipe with baffles and crap inside be more expensive than just making a damn pipe! If there are internal baffles and its not even an expansion chamber then what? Cut it out weld it back together with correct volume? Its all about noise laws!Gotta comply or the rulemakers wont let be sold.. Yes,it could be gutted and with the right dimensions it should work as well as a race pipe, loud as heck too!!I call them "kit" pipes..You buy it and spend 10 hours on it cutting and welding to make a decent pipe, but some of us love a project,,,
