The Eton cdi with limiter hooked up I would guess is 7500? Rpm. I don't know for sure but it's low

I cut the b/tch wire, but was thinking about splicing it back together, because I don't trust my wrist. I have a lead foot and obviously a spring loaded right wrist.lol I think I will try the cdi limiter and see if it works. I am hoping it won't cut at the srart of the power. Oh, get this the nosey neighbor called a few minutes ago and asked this STUPID question: " That thing looks fast, what did you do, get a new powerband for it?" It was all I could do to not laugh my @ss off! Migrane or not thats funny.

Stole one of my wifes pain pills for my head. I hate doing shit like that, but no insurance and no money makes a man do STUPID stuff. Looped the limiter wire to a switch. It keeps the motor at the edge of power. It works, but sounds like crap. I'll keep it like that till I get a tach or decent crank.

Okay, swapped back to the cart carb, with 80 main. It's still a tad rich, but not too rich just a little. Took a rest run and holy $hit! With the bigger carb it hit GPS clocked 46! Thats just wild. It feels like it's shifting hard, and a little early causing revs to drop suddenly, then build slowly. Is this normal for this setup?

It's starting already...Bigger carb...then bigger engine...then you spy that jet engine in some weeds in the bone yard....and you think "I could figure out how to mount that somehow"

Hey guys, a stupid question from a redneck: which engine do I have? Is it short or long case?

The Eton beemer uses a longcase 1E40QMB. They also have a duel angle groove td (take off with high revs then it shifts to the other angle and rpm drops for cruise until you are out of belt travel then the rpms will climb again)

If you got the limiter hooked up you might try a little heavier weights might keep it off of the limiter and make it more fun. A tach sounds like a good idea. Trail Tech is cool Ryan used a round analog style tach he got off of ebay for $20 that was back lit and accurate. I could send you a link to it if you want

Chris, looks like you have nice wide tires on your scooter. What are those? 120/90/10 or 130/90/10? Those wider tires make a big difference in handling, much better than skinny tires.
If the scooter has a long case 140QMB, can he put 12" rims and tires on it? It would help top-end a little bit.
Glad to see it's going fast!

Would 12's fit, I mean the brakes and rear hub? It does handle great though. The only reason twelves are in my mind is more tire on the road and bigger rotor on the front(?). Thank you dan50. Chris

I have another question. When I finaly can afford a belt which brand is better? I hear Bando is nowhere as good as a Gates, but IDK. I mean I would rather pay 20/30 bux for a decent belt than to have to buy two or three cheap ones to last as long. And whats the rule for sliders a gram heavier or lighter, I can't remember, which brand for rollers and which for sliders? Thanx in advance. Chris
