Just from what's posted here you rode 12 miles about a month ago and did some tuning before that so if the gas that's in it now is old it may at least be worth seeing if the gas smells funny.

The old gas was drained shortly after my last ride. Turned out being the plug, switched in a new one and took a long ride through the country last night. Got caught in 2 seperate storms, but still loved it. Seems like a long slow ride is the proper Rx for a cloudy mind.

Good to hear its running and you got in a ride.
If you ever get a 2T that wont start for any good reason a shot of starting fluid is worth it before tearing one down. Some otherwise good running scoots dont like to start if they have sat for some time.

Okay folks, hete we go.....Again! The engine that curently resides within the confines of Frankies frame, is the one with broken mounts. Yesterday, I got my new crank bearings, and NGK seals in the mail yesterday. So I figured I would just assemble my good block as a 70, rather than waiting for the cash to buy an HP 90 crank and hog the cases for the bigger jug and crank. Got the crank installed into the small half, and have them chillin' in the frezer till morning, when I can finish the assembly. This way, IF I can ever get a 90 setup, I can hog out the half ass block, first. That way if I go too thin, I still have a good block!

Hey all, health issues have had me at bay recently, both mine & my daughters. I am going to try to get some more done on Frankie soon.

Well I'm baaaaack! I was forced on hiatus for legal and personal reasons. While the county was furnishing my room and board, my son took Frankie for a few rides, the last of which came to an abrupt ending when the coil stopped firing. Having listened to the fine scoot mechanics here, he successfully traced the gremlin to the pickup coil. A few mo the later, and Frankie is still down. Every pickup I find is listed as being a four stroke item. I have asked several retailers for the dimensions of their pickups but have failed to yield even a single response. Here I go again........
