lol sitticuss. I feel pretty damn insane. I was lucky when assembling them, in that I didnt leave anything out. I just can not get over the case only leaking warm. Thats why the first two smoke tests and the leakdown test didnt work. Today I got the motor hot, then quickly removed and blocked the exhaust, and removed the carb. Within a minute and a half, I was seeing smoke. Damn. I went to town for some sealer, but the auto store was out of what I usaly use.. I could try the brush on copper sealant I have. I think I will just wait till Tuesday to get the right stuff.

I don't even know whats wrong with my scoot. It's running really rough. A LOT of vibration at low rpms and sputters at wot. I may need a bigger jet after removing the snorkel but I haven't had time to do it. I worked 32 hours in the past two days. And you know what that means.... MORE SCOOT MONEY! Lol

So, I stripped it down, cleaned everything, installed new seals, and, put.it back together. Oh shit, threads are mared up badly on the flywheel side. So now I need to either swap the good bearings to my other crwnk, OR, buy a new crank on the first. I am leaning toward a crank. I kinda like the 41.4 stroker on e bay from autotech355. But I found a 45mm stroker for about the same price. Okay, here is pprobably the most important question I have asked here: For streetability and dependability, which would be better. The common sense part of my brain says to go with the shorter stroke, but what do I know. The longer one uses a twelve pin, and the other a ten pin. I have a piston kit tor a ten, so the ten saves a little$$$, which is good. I havent told the wife yet, oh God, thats not going to be good. Also, how fast is the shipping.from autotech? Can I expect to get it in June if I order on the first? Any body with an opinion please chime in. Thanx

Thanx He sells a 45 with a 10 pin that fits 50 cases but the 12 is 90cc case stuff or have to machine for clearance. The 45 stroke will cause a big change in Port timings. I'd go with the 41.4. Can you send me a link for the 45 you were looking at? Sent from my SPH-L720 using proboards

Agree with Moofus02,keep the stroke to 40/41.5 or the transfer durations will get silly high, which will kill all the power you are wishing for..

Same seller. I would be tickled shitless with tge 41.4, not much of a stroker, but it is goid for what I need.

That crank fits stock cases without machining with a 10 pin but a kit for that stroke is hard to find. He sells another one for turning a 50 into a 90 with a 12 pin but you have to machine the cases just not as much as true 90 cranks require. The 41.4 would be my choice Sent from my SPH-L720 using proboards

Any more stroke than 41mm or so is pointless with a 47mm bore. The longer stroke cranks are more for 50+mm bore cylinders with allot more deck height for that extra stroke.

Kinda what I was thinking. Anyway, there is a big enough difference in stock vs the 41.4, that it should wake up this cylinder quite a bit. I hope so anyway.

The build is paused atm. I rethreaded the crank, put it together, and tried to fire it up this a.m. No go. Oh well, bigger problems atm. Woke up with not a small amount of blood on my pillow. My ear-drum perferated from an iei ( inner ear infection ) I've been fighting for a week or so. I am now at the ER waiting on my perscriptions. I signed a paper refusing to be kept in a hospital. Hell no. I cant be out if its raining or damp, and now I am lobgibg for a migraine, they dont hurt as bad. It will be a few days or a week vefore I get back to the bike. May gave lost more of my hearing. Damn.....thats my good ear. Sorry for rambling, just bored hurting, and pissed that I have sat here since ten this am. Gotta go...

Yeah, hanks guys. Kinda hard to lay/sit around all day doing nothing. This is the fourth time I have had a perfed tympanic membrane. It does hurt like hell, but I've had worse, I cant think of any atm, but I am sure I have. Think its a seal now, got everything together, but honestly can not stand to kick it right atm. Maybe tomorrow or thursday I can find the issue. Getting pissed at my scoot about now.

Well, today I felt almost human. I could turn my head without feeling like an icepick was jammed in my ear anyway. Been cool and damp here lately too so that hasnt helped matters any. Tomorrow being Sunday means nothing is open to procure gasket sealer, so Monday I'll try to start again. Also put new 6204's on my other stock crank, and cleaned my old case, and the right half with one exhaust mount. Clearanced the cases and.did some minor " fat " removal in the flow areas. If photo bucket will cooperate I will put up a bunch of pics.
