It should be fine but it probably wouldn't cost anything and it may give you a little peace of mind.

Make sure you don't have a kink or pinch in the fuel line Sent from my SPH-L720 using proboards Interesting suggestion... I took off the seat bucket and realized I had pinched a vacuum line between the seat bucket and where it gets bolted down. I was expecting a kinked fuel line. This would still cause the lack of fuel and cause it to run lean... Right? I'm new to mechanical stuff... Health care provider so I'm better at fixing the human body welcome we need Health care providers

Look at it like a partially obstructed coronary artery. At idle it works 'OK' but with any demanding exercise it__________

I was speaking of the 'obstructed vacuum line' and putting it in more 'human body' terms for our health care provider.

So I got rid of the bad coronary artery and just installed a manual petcock and sealed the vacuum intake... But it still is stalling at quick stops and now has a harder time starting. Doh. And there's a weird noise coming from CVT / air filter area

I made a decision to move to the yellow center line when a truck in front of me was turning on a road with no shoulders and an SUV was coming the other way and I was doing 50MPH. I'm quite glad the truck finally started turning into his driveway so I could move over a bit before meeting the SUV, because I don't think the initial choice was a good one at all. I was just making a quick test run to see if the sliders I had in would work and the truck was a neighbor from 1/2 mile away so I knew he was going to turn and that's why I didn't slow down. The surprise was he decided to sit in the road rather than just pull in for whatever reason. One of those brain farts where I know better than to trust anyone else on the road to do what I expect but I did it anyway and it coulda bit me in the ass so to speak. Of course it was just going to be a 3-4 mile quick run and I wore the helmet without a cam so that was bad decision 2... or 1 really because it happened first. So I got rid of the bad coronary artery and just installed a manual petcock and sealed the vacuum intake... But it still is stalling at quick stops and now has a harder time starting. Doh. And there's a weird noise coming from CVT / air filter area I know noises are tricky, but any further explanation?

Can't say but it was kind of high pitched/scratchy-screechy like but hasn't returned since the first two starts since completing these changes. I'm wondering if I don't have the fuel line vertical enough .

Rode home from work. I've got a little hesitation of the start and the revs don't seem to be going up as fast. I just put a 100 main in down from 102. It's hot and humid as all get up here so I'll take a test ride and see what it feels like.

And there's a weird noise coming from CVT / air filter area This carb in the link is not scooter carb but it has the same principles ,Scroll down to Coasting Enrichner feeding a closed mouth. there nothing much in the air filter to make weird noises except a rubber restriction i was told to raise the carb needle one notch and remove it ,So the circlip goes down one notch on the needle. I would be careful not to lose the diaphram spring

Removed handlebar cowl to tighten left brake lever bracket and I snapped a cowl to handlebar snap thingy. These Chinese body plastics suck. I'll fab an epoxy repair next time cowl comes off. I also decided (for later) to drill a couple of lower body screw threads (the part the screw threads into)that were stripped when I got the bike. A squirt of epoxy, time to dry and redrill to accept screws securely oughta' do it. Of course a test drive was neccessary (right even if you just check the oil ya' gotta' test ride!) and I was cut off by two vehicles leaving a parking lot. I woulda' just shrugged it off it wasn't a couple of dorks on SCOOTERS! lol.

A filled epoxy like JB Weld works best for filling screw holes etc.
