Took a ride today on the 120cc I was hoping a couple friends would come along but no one could make it. I enabled the second curve in the HPI iggy again to see if there was much difference. It appears to let me rev out about 250-300 more RPM. I saw 58 MPH at 10300 but noticed the temp gauge creeping up (138) so I switched it back to the standard curve. Temps dropped but stayed a little high. I usually see 120 max but I noticed I hit 128 a couple times during the ride.
Easter weekend brought the usual crowd here for the holiday. I am not looking forward to the crowds at all this year, I wish it was more like 15-20 years ago when people were civilized.

Have you lost track of time? Don't you mean at least 40-50 years ago? I have not seen civilized people for somewhere around 60 years.

"Being uncivilized and intolerable is OK if a cloud of two-stroke smoke is involved though, right? š " Ummmm, -No. I remember the year two stroke trail bikes invaded the national forest campgrounds, ring-a-dinga from dawn to midnight. Campers complained every morning to the Forest Rangers but because of the actions of a single family of often drunken insensitive boorish slobs the entire area was inundated with noise and smoke. Then came the RV generators running 24-7, then the boom boxes... Before that people could hear the wind whispering in the trees, branches rubbing together, smell the pine sap, the moss, hear birds tweeting, squirrels and chipmunks, lichen covered branches falling... People should stay home if they wanted to listen to music and watch TV. Before that time you could look down at the side of the lookout points along the alpine road and see the moccasin clad footprints of the original explorers in the beautiful jewel-like delicate mountain tundra, a couple years later all there was left was a sea of mud and tourists wandering over it, often complaining there was nothing to see in foreign languages... The same thing happened in Yellowstone with the thermal pools. One year the people stayed on the walkways and didn't throw coins and trash, or make noise so everyone could hear the bubbling and rumbling. The next year they boiled themselves and crushed the delicate mineral deposits and sued when they were burned and sometimes killed... When the cell phones, influencers, and celebrities arrived later on all was completely lost.

two stroke trail bikes invadedā¦ ring-a-dinga from dawn to midnightā¦ the entire area was inundated with noise and smoke. I think I read almost that exact passage from a town meeting about me. š¤£ That reminds meā¦ I came out of town last night heading home and thereās a sharp turn in a 30MPH zone. I got into the throttle and up to about 60 around the bend and there was a sheriff on the other side of the turn. In a stroke of luck, all I got was a very dirty look while he handed a Harley rider some paperwork. I gotta stop doing that because I know the cop hangs out thereā¦ but the turns are so tempting.

It is ~OK to add noise and pollution in noisy smelly cities but don't spoil our natural outside areas.

One person or family does not have the right to spoil an area for hundreds or even thousands of people. In the case of Yellowstone or the tundra for hundreds if not thousands of years.

Made my own exhaust gasket out of thick cardboard covered in a THICK THICK layer of high temp gasket maker. Let it sit for 20 mins then installed it and no more exhaust leak. It will burn through with time. Once a leak occurs it will burn rapidly. You need to buy some exhaust gasket material from an auto parts store and use it instead of the cardboard. If the exhaust flange does not match the exhaust port you will need to correct any misalignment issues. Gasket sealing surfaces must be closely parallel with each other. Yeah i need to order a real gasket and new studs, i havent bothered because my exhaust has a crack in it so its not gonna run right until i replace it with a new one anyways. Today I also got a drone for the first time and took a small video of my scooter. It has a follow mode so i plan to have it follow me on a small ride to test it out.

Took the wifes Indian Scout Sixty in for service today. Oil and filter, a new front tire and the usual adjustments. $450 I can't complain too much, besides a new battery last week, and an oil change a year or to ago that's all that we have ever had done to it in 4 years.
