Oil leak problem solved but aluminiuminumummm to thin to tig, so Arildites version of chemical metal it is. Never used this stuff before so hopefully with a good rub down and a clean surface it bond's ok.🤔

I have used blind, closed end, aluminuminium pop rivets and JB weld to seal up small holes like that in aluminumium castings like engine parts, carb parts, and intake manifolds. I usually drill the hole out to a standard rivet size to help provide a good sealing surface for the rivet. Sometimes I have used a punch or hammer to help swage the rivet in.

Busy morning on the scooter. Matched up the lx50cc gasket and it is fine for the 125 pre leader.

This afternoon I started assembling the oil pan and then sorted out as many bodged but, nuts and screws I could. Started to sort out the indicators and now ordered one off eBay. Next was road test up the lanes as belt was slipping from oil on it but no more after a few hills. I wore the latest government approved headgear as well. A question for aeroxbud. Where do they hide the indicator relay?

It's number 16 on this diagram www.apriliagenuineparts.co.uk/component-mojito-125-150-2003-2007-electrical-system-custom-1436.php

Mine aeroxbud is 2001 and no picture of it on the schematic diagram on the Aprilia parts site I could see.

Mine aeroxbud is 2001 and no picture of it on the schematic diagram on the Aprilia parts site I could see. Okay my mistake. The Mrs one was on the right hand side. Under the rear fender. Held on by a rubber isolation fitting. Hers was a 2001, but the retro.

Thanks @aroxbud appears by the wiring diagram on my manuals or whatever the site is called shows the main feed going to it or from it then to the voltage regulator like on early modern Vespa's. Just been out and had a look and lo and behold all working after a bit of wiggling. Just awaiting the rear indicator unit from eBay and then off for MOT. Looks like Owen is going to have the Lambretta now as he's thinking of getting a £2000 odd loan for a second hand Zontes from superbike loans and I bet they run at 34% APR. I shall sell him Lambretta cheap and let him put the rest to his driving lessons/test. Lexmoto zsb 125 only £1619 at present new! I don't mind using the Aprilia bit tatty but can slowly ride and sort it as I go. Also found a key to fit topbox in my old collection of dead keys today which I nearly threw away recently, glad I didn't 😊

They are a comfortable bike to ride. Owen is better off having the Lambretta if it avoids having to get a loan. 👍

Anything is better than taking a loan from the Mob, -er I mean banks lending institutions.
Don't forget to use silicone dielectric grease on those electrical connections as you find them. Just wiggling them is not enough.

I will be on the Aprilia which is a better machine and told him to give me £200 for it and put rest to driving lessons. Spoke to his wife briefly and she said she was not happy with him getting a loan but he wouldn't listen to her. Said if his mum was still alive he would have listened to her.

Indeed the legalised mob is far worse in many senses with the weight of the "impartial" law's they have behind them. I shall be looking out for a wiring loom for this one as there appears to be 2 very large coils of wire plugged into bodge connectors one that goes somewhere and the other bare on the end floating about, but that won't get stripped and done till the Arizona motorcycle engine is rebuilt and in the bike. Plus dielectric grease is on the cards too. FrankenMech, would you use the silicone or non silicone version of dielectric grease. Silicone version is in a tube the non silicone comes in a tub with a brush?

I like the silicone in a small tube with a small nozzle that is great to squeeze a small amount into connector bodies. I keep several tubes around in various tool boxes. The tubs with brushes get contaminated and make a mess. I know the small tubes are more expensive but after long years of experience with connectors I find the small tubes best. I don't know if the links will work over in the UK but they may give you an idea of what I am talking about. www.amazon.com/Permatex-81150-Dielectric-Tune-Up-Grease/dp/B000AL2RI2or www.amazon.com/Silicone-Dielectric-Compound-10g-YOLOtek/dp/B08PB43S32or this type and use a wire nut for a cap on the nozzle OR LOCTITE 37535 Other tubes of various brands may be available with small nozzles.
