I know one thing, I will never buy a :censored: hoca performance clutch again. It left me stranded. I finally got home after my wife picked me up in the truck. Took the cvt cover off and all this dust fell out of the cover. Took the clutch bell off and it had ground all of the clutch pads off to the metal. So I put the stock one back on and its seems to be working fine. Can't figure out why this happened.

I've got 2 of the Hoca clutches. So far, so good. Was a clutch spring broken or anything else off other than the pads being worn down?

I've run with only two clutch springs in a three shoe clutch. Didn't wear down like that at all. I'm thinking maybe your springs were way too strong, and your clutch was never fully engaged?Maybe that was the spooling sound you were hearing?

Well started on my scoot. Got a question about some parts. What is this jumper for? If it was behind the headlight near the ignition, i'd say it's for the alarm/remote start. You're right, except the alarm isnt located there on the Vento's. It's on the side frame between the gas tank and the seat. That jumper is required for the key ignition to work. It jumps the 2 green wires from the alarm harness. If you take that jumper off, your scooter wont start even with the key in it.

This is what I have done to it so far. Got rid of the mud flap and rear fender. Added led rear turn signals. And decided to go with a candy apple red metalic paint instead of black. ;D Attachments:

Thanks :thumb: That will be on my next order. And I will also be getting those tiny carbon fiber turn signals for the front too. MAN! when you start this modding, its hard to stop. ;D You just keep finding more cool things to do. I can see another scoot project in the near future.

HOLY :censored: ! This 90cc engine has some killer power. And I have'nt even done any tuning to it yet. :jaw: My top speed is 63 so far on flat roads. Still not able to pull the wheel off the ground yet. But pretty darn close. Any tuning suggestions? Not looking for much more speed, but want more take off. Will any of the 50cc tunning parts fit the 90cc?

Glad you're happy with it. So far I haven't seen anyone move to a 90 and be disappointed. ;D What are you using to measure your speed? I never saw 60+ on my Triton till I had a 54mm kit, pipe, trans tuning, big carb, and more. I had to mod my ports to get to 65. Of course I'm also fat lol.
There's nothing really special about tuning a 90 compared to a 50 if you know the basics. Experiment with the transmission and see where it likes to make it's power. If you have any sort of tach to use, it is a great tuning tool. You can learn what RPM range it pulls the hardest in, and tune it to stay there. You can also use the tach and your speedometer over a set distance to do jetting changes. See what main jet gets you the best speed and RPM over a set distance. My 90cc Triton could pick up a few MPH at times over the tune that I thought was right by plug chops and seat of the pants by using that method.
Some 50cc parts fit for the transmission. The Tritons have a 90cc styled crank anyway (larger diameter splines for the vari and larger where the flywheel is, just not the long stroke) so anything that fit on your Triton's engine as far as ignition and transmission should work. Engine wise, you can use aftermarket reeds, intakes, and carbs intended for the 50s. The exhausts made for 50s and 70s are kind of a bad idea. Some might work, some might cause you problems. It's best to use exhausts intended for 90-100cc engines like the ones in the 90-100cc Aerox, Jog, and BWS found overseas.

I used my gps for the speed check. My stock digital speedo is off by 4mph. Is there any way to adjust the stock digital speedo to match the gps? Or should I just get the bicycle speedo. I just ordered the tiny tach today. Hope its not to hard to setup or put on. Anyone else ever use one of those tachs? And also I weigh 176lbs.
