You have to take the old bracket off and use the new ones. Don't cut or make any permanent mods to the pipe or it's brackets until you know how it's going to work with your bbk. With mine I had to make some extensions out if flat bar with a hole in each end. It takes a little creativity but it's not to difficult. That center stand is a pita. Your engine has the mounting points for the regular stand but I'm not sure if they will work on that big ass frame.

Here's a pic of the back of my bracket that shows what I did. Yours will be different but it should give you an idea. I also have an extra hole in the bracket that I drilled when I had it modded for an adapter that came off the motor. Take your time and weigh your options.

Whats up with the box of hanger brackets in the last pic??Looks like the centrestand will need some grinding to keep from hitting the pipe.. That's the bracket that came with the pipe, which doesn't line up with any of the bolts there. First thing I need is to clear the obstructions, and yeah the center stand may get some grinding done to it.

Yeah, I'm thinking tomorrow I may have to head over to HD and pick up some flat stock. I have some aluminum here, 1/4" thick but it's already bent and drilled for something else I used it for. My issue is clearing the center stand first then figuring out how I'm going to clear that bolt that's in the engine. The "bracket" that's on there is all part of the fender and the old exhaust mount. You know, you've seen it in person. I do need to plan this out. Wishful thinking that it was going to be an easy fit I guess.

Get the header flange torqued down, then measure what length bracket will be needed at each mount location..Ive found that cylinder exhaust flanges have different angles with various suppliers,,soo we are stuck with adapting a pipe to fit our application...

Yep! My stock pipe had to be modded to work with my first S6 cylinder and the C16 modded to work with this S6. The C16 bolted right up unmodified to the 54 mm hoca cylinder. That's why I say don't do anything you can't undo before you get the bbk on and then keep in mind the pipe maybe around longer than the cylinder. Better to add if you can than cut away.

Ah, good to know I'm not batcrap crazy then lol. Yeah I torqued it onto the flange before I started eyeballing it. Like I said I did a dry fit, bolting it snug and seeing how it looked. That was past experience with some other projects I've worked on. I'll work on it tomorrow I'm sure, I just worry about that one bold. It's not crucial so I may leave it out. Who knows.

You'll have to either get rid of the inner rear fender or find another way to bolt it on the right side. That big black bracket needs to go and you need both bolts in the motor. These things have some vibrations and bolts loosen up so get all the mounting points tight once you have it aligned.

Yeah, I've thought about ditching the fender, especially since it's been rubbing on the back tire. Found that out not long ago. I just worry about crap being flung up onto the engine from the road, maybe I can fashion a slim fender over top. I'll have to go to HD and walk the isles to plan. That's how I've designed most of my projects, in my head haha. As for the bracket, it's hard to say to let that go because that's what I was going to make the modded bracket to bolt to? Do you have any ideas for that intruding bolt on the engine?

Wait a minute... Now I'm thinking if I do get rid of that bracket, maybe that bolt won't stick out so much. THEN I can make my own "Y" bracket.
Dave, your bracket inspired me!

There are members using the clones with success. With your setup I think a 19 would be better and a bit easier to tune. There's a seller that sells them for $35-$40 but they come from Taiwan. I'll have to look but some one Sent me a link to one of the clone racing del carbs from where you get stuff Dave it was cheeper and free shipping Sent from my SPH-L720 using proboards

When you remove the black bracket you will have the two engine mounting points by the shroud. The flanges on the pipe are for the brackets that came with the pipe. Bolt pipe flanges to bracket, bracket to motor. If you need spacers try you stock rollers. Worked great for me. Your new pipe isn't suppose to bolt to that old bracket. Think of the old bracket as part of the old pipe. I always removed my stock pipe by unbolting the bracket from the motor. Never the stainless straps from the bracket.

I think I tried to see if that bracket lined up with those bolts but if I'm not mistaken it didn't. The pipe came with spacers too and I also have others that I can chop or add in if need be. I'll mess with it in the morning after I remove the fender. Worse case, if I remove all that garbage, I'll have room to make a hell of a bracket. I don't want to touch the pipe at all, it's going to stay just as it is. It's... beautiful... *sniff*
