What was I thinking?! Well if anything this had and still will be a learning experience. I started with a Taotao VIP 49cc I bought for $200. First mistake I never test rode it, second mistake I listened to the voices in my head that said "Dude I've never seen a caféd scooter! You should build one. Come on go for it dude!" . Well I got it running good start to a few more gray hairs. I stripped off all the plastic and low and behold a naked scooter is kinda ugly.  |

Gonna need a welder!  So I rode my happy lil Irish ass to HF and bought one. Many excuses for many problems. I them proceeded to strip it down to stretch and narrow the frame. Cutting everything off was next. Then the stretch motor mount which took way linger than expected do to the fact the bushings where rusted in solid. A few hours later I finally had something fitted together but still not complete.  |

those can be a Biatch to get out. It took me several hours and every trick in the book to remove two from an old 90cc engine. Are those the stock handlebars and stem? If not where did you get them. They look sweet.

They look sweet. Negative on stem and bars. Those are 1-1/2" Cannondale downhill bars & the stem is a Truvativ Hussefelt oversized downhill A-headset style clamp I'm stem, slitely modifed. Headlights a 4led offroad light. |
