Nice job on the tank so far. Everything's looking very cool. Hopefully you will be much happier than that fellow when you finish it up.

Idk if this is good or bad or some weird subconscious thing. I was attempting to build a gas tank similar to this Honda CBR tank but fitting the Cannonball profile. I don't have any sheet metal mandrels or any pipe heavy enough to use as one. So I did the best I could and as fast as possible hammered out the bends with a ball pean. I was hoping to get a look like the paper mock up. Well I just happened to glance at my hood and then the tank. Do you see it? I think I'm kinda sorta bummed out about it. But not sure, what do you think?

That's the same thing my landlord said. "It looks more like the first iron man than a gas tank". Great! Total bummer

This is a freaking awesome build. Mock it on the scoot and let's see. Hopefully later today. I still have to fit the tunnel and the bottom of the tank. I'll figure something out.

A trailer hitch ball stuck in a pipe stuffed in the ground makes a good emergency buck. I have several hitch balls with the mounts hammered to fit the hardie hole on my anvil.

FVVVVVVCK!!!!!!!!! I forgot the damn tunnel. idk if it'll be more work to cut the bottom out it to try and fit a tunnel in now? I'm moving forward, the tunnel us going in, the bottom is staying in.

Here ya go. This is a really rough mock up. No katastroff it's not going to be welded there, & yes I know the rear is not attached cause I was hoping to get the seat rails & top tube into day. THIS IS A ROUGH MOCK UP. There is no tunnel yet but when done the top of the tank will be about level with the stem and the front will dive slightly. Snow blowers are quite common in the northern hemisphere.
