No tubing Bender or torch so I'm falling back on some of my pipe fitting skills. I clocked the tube then laid out 3-5/8" radius 180° segmented bend. I was able to cheat it and only cut about 7/8 of the segment and then bend it around with all segments still on the same time line and in one piece.

Lil more fine tuning and I should have a some what descent Cowling. It's a good thing I left my ex in Texas or else she'd probably be shooting a man in Reno just to watch him die. Yep that's my dinning room.

I have no idea what I thinking when I skinned the front end-f l a t ! ! I hate it! Is gotta go! Gotta come up with some sort of cowling/fairing/skin. Something with depth & functionality. Maybe wrap it up underneath to the motor mounts. I need a visual idea cause I have no imagination, so if anyone has some pics of something along the line that I can't see right now, please share them. I haven't seen scooters with naked forks & bars with a body/belly fairing/skin. Ideas?! Anyone....

Thanks, but I don't think I'd show them to any potential employers or customers. Beings that I'm making do with what I have available at the time for me.... hopefully they hold.

I think those are great looking welds. Have a look at mine: [ Yes but do have 20+yrs welding and is it how you make your living? I pride myself on a dying art, "Craftmenship". Yes I'm my own worst critic, but it's in my blood as I come from a long line of blacksmiths & craftsmen. I know with better equipment that this build would've been done a week ago and look flawless. I'm the hardest lil badass walking the steel. Pride.

I've been a butcher for 6 years now, but i've worked in metal shops before and know a little bit about welding. Seing your work pushes me to do better then i did when i swaped in my first 150cc on my scoot. I kind of just slapped it on with a motor mount made out of an old bed frame. It worked but was in no way as nice as what you are doing. Im working on putting in a longcase this time and all them pictures you posted motivated me to do it once, do it good, and do it nice. You and others here are a real inspiration for me to do better then a sloppy job.
Thanks guys.
You're doing miracles in your dinning room shop and just cant wait to see it finished.

Thanks brother. Your inspiration is a good motivator for me & this build with all the headaches it's giving me (and a few dozen more gray hairs). Thanks keeping my spirits up. I like the improvisation and innovation of using the bed frame, that's good. Adapt, improvise,& overcome. Butchers are a dying bread as well here in the states,& it doesn't matter what you do so long as you do it well & with pride. (imo)

Thanks, Clank, for volunteering your build for the BikeBuilds.net directory. Your bike is being featured here: Clank's Project XIf anyone would like to have a build of their own listed, just send me a message with a link to the build thread and we'll take care of the rest. Ken

No but it was more appropriate than my Irish one. Not sure what I did there.
