Wow! I'm so sorry to hear that bro. That's bullshit, the cops stole your scoot. They have a saying around here "Save a child's life, kill a cop!"

Wow! I'm so sorry to hear that bro. That's bullshit, the cops stole your scoot. They have a saying around here "Save a child's life, kill a cop!" Careful about that, especially now a days. Things are getting really sensitive out there. So, update. I've got some work brought home from me and my company is going to pay me on medical leave as well, which means I get 1/2 my pay for a few weeks plus I'm doing some wire prep work from home to earn some hours as well. My insurance company sent me some neat-o stuff. The costs of my hospital stay and according to them, I owe over $24k? Yeah, I'm going to have to have a talk with them about that. I'm on a PPO and I can't see the major hospital I was at being off their network. It's Christmas Eve. My friends and family are all out so I've got me and the TV. Yeah, it kind of sucks being stuck. After the holidays I'll battle it out with the Sheriff's department about the scooter. Right now, everyone is off and closed. I have the new carb for the VX50, among some other stuff. So everything is here. Of course I can barely walk out of the house without my walker so no work will be done for a while. If I don't get the M1 out it looks like the VX50 will be my only project. *sigh* That's $1,000 down the hole. I hope everyone is safe and having a good time. Just wanted to poke my head in here for a moment.

If they don't let you get the scoot back, ask if you can get your stuff out of it, then bring as many tools as you can and take off all the aftermarket parts you have on it

If they don't let you get the scoot back, ask if you can get your stuff out of it, then bring as many tools as you can and take off all the aftermarket parts you have on it I've thought about doing that. Except I'd have to rip the top end off and the carb, along with the new CHT gauge and my GPS lol. I'm still alive. Getting better, still can't walk yet. I have another followup this Friday and I'm hoping to get some good news and to get the staples taken out. I'm doing a little bit of work here and there as I can. Still working with Aflac for my money, it's hard to run back and forth getting documents when I can't drive and most of the people I know work during the day. Hopefully Friday I can get the last bit I need. I called the Sheriff's dept about towing the scoot and the deputy advised I try to talk to Kauffs and see if they can work with me. I'll try but I'm not keeping my hopes up. Otherwise, nothing else new really. I am moving around better with the walker and my wheelchair. The leg is having some pains, nothing unbearable it's just the bone healing and probably the screws settling in more. At least the leg doesn't hurt when I move it, I'm thankful for that and for having better balance on my one good leg. I took a picture of both legs as I was sitting in the shower (Yeah, that was a new endeavour thanks to my cousin) and I almost cried at the difference in size between the two. My left calf is so much smaller than my right. It's a good thing because that means the swelling went down, but I lost a lot of muscle in it. *sigh* There goes my perfect "calves" lol. Anyways. I hope everyone is having a happy and safe holiday season. I wish I was turning a wrench and riding right now. I've thought about selling the VX50 off, but I'm determined to get that sucker running at least even if I don't get the M1 back.

Wish it were all a quick process, but hang in there and maybe once you get literally back on your feet you'll find out they've rebuilt you... better, stronger, faster.

I remember telling one of the doctors "There goes my 800lb leg presses!" and he said "Oh you'll be able to do that again with no problem." Though I'll be too scared for a while. My concern will just to get my legs symetrical again. But yeah, literally back on my feet is the main goal for now. Now every time my friend sees me, he keeps calling me the old guy from UP. He told me to go home and start tying balloons to my apartment haha. *sigh* Faster would be nice.

UPDATE:
I had another followup this past Friday. I got the staples removed and I no longer need to wear the brace. This doesn't mean I can walk on it, that's still weeks away. I can start to bend it a little and I have 4 weeks of physical therapy I have to start soon. I should be able to go back to work in a couple of weeks too. It feels more stable. Before if I twisted the leg at all, the bone/knee would basically pop in and out of the socket. I thought it was a tendon or something but I was holding my knee the other day and when I moved my leg, I felt exactly what it was. Not nearly as bad, it is settling into place. This scar is going to look like a football with the laces removed lol.
Otherwise I'm doing good. Getting stuff done from my couch is a PITA but it's going slowly.
On another note, I ordered cable for the first time in years. I've been doing without but now I can't survive on 5 channels and figured I'd move up in the world. UVerse to be exact. Pretty happy with it so far.

Start small drink lots of milk and you'll be back up there. No I haven't. Since I haven't had the means, both financial and a way to get it back here it hasn't been a priority. I'm prepared to let it go really. My cousin knows someone there, he's going to try and talk to them. I'm not holding my breath though. As for the leg presses, my knees aren't what they used to be and now that side is still healing up. With the brace off and staples out now, I'm starting to bend it some and get some motion back. I still have to use a strap to lift the leg, the strength is gone. I start Physical Therapy on the 20th. The joint is still forming and getting more stable so I'm not pushing it till then. I'm still weeks away from walking on it but from what I've read online, I'm doing better than expected. I may even have a leg up once I start physical therapy. Pun intended.

Haha glad to hear your sense of humor is still intact Jhobe! Well Break a L... I mean- good luck at physical Therapy I think the next time someone tells me that, I'll ask them if they'll be paying for it this time haha. Yeah, the humor is important. There's no reason for me to be a miserable prick through all this, in fact I have to laugh every time someone asks me about it lol. I was at Walmart yesterday and the cashier asked me "What happened?" and I always start off with "Well, I wish I had an interesting story to tell but, I fell off a scooter..." And we all laugh. I'll admit, the physical therapy does scare me a little, but I'll be glad to get it started. I'll also be glad to get back to work next week too. Even in a limited capacity. I already know I can drive myself, I've driven my car this week for the first time since the accident. Getting in and out is a little slow, but not as bad as I thought it would be. Once I can bend the leg more it will get much easier, even more when I can actually move the leg on its own and not have to pick it up like a piece of meat tied to a rope. Now if I can just finish watching everything on my damn DVR, I'll be set. lol
