It is probably due to the fact that there is no filter in the air box. Your carb is getting more air flow than what it is jetted for.

How do I get ahold a 90 cc rex or a 90 cc jog . That is all I want for Christmas . You could use a Polaris 90 block.

What pipe are you going to run if you increase exhaust duration? PG short, will it do? From what i gather, PG Long is said to be for 90cc set ups and it revs higher than the Short. PG Short is for 72cc set ups with more midrange as opposed to the Long which perfoms better on the upper revs. Test the Short and see how that perfoms since you wont be porting the exhaust.

SMC Rexy was 49cc
SMC Rex was 90cc
That bike might have the same Taida 54mm bore that i have. Bought the bore from George. Aluminum, nicasil inside, ceramic coated outside.
I believe it to be true that if it is a 100cc it was built by George.

Add another head gasket to lower compression psi?
I've burned a hole in a 52mm piston because i used a 47mm NCY squish band head. That was a learning lesson.

Just make sure you fit up the variator/ pawl parts onto the new crankshaft prior to installing the crank into the case.

In regards to trying heavier rollers, sometimes the logic of using heavier rollers to get more belt travel does not work out. I run 4.3g rollers on my 94cc chinarelli with a yellow (med) NCY contra spring.
Heavier weights make the variator start to shift sooner. In certain cases, the variator starts shifting before the bore's power band comes up and you don't get into the power range in which the engine can not get into the power zone to get the variator to max out

Hi guys. Has anyone tried using a dio rear pulley on a jog90/minarelli? Just having issues trouble shooting my belt travel. I have changed longer belts, heavier rollers and still the same. Last one i suspect is the rear pulley not opening wide enough to sit the belt at it’s lowest at WOT. I think dio has a 118mm diameter compared to 115mm on the jog but I’m not sure about the shaft if it will slide in nicely. Have stage6 variator on my 70cc stge6 cylinder and have already used a longer belt with a dayco 808x16.6. Thanks I read about the ZX trans set up for the DIO. I ended up buying a ZX pulley from a local shop. The bearings will fit onto the shaft, however the bearing spacing does not allow the ZX pulley to fully seat onto the shaft in the proper location. Therefore, the ZX pulley needs i be modified for it to be properly positioned on the minarelli shaft. What's the point of more belt travel? Is it a desire to go faster? You could look for a shorter drive boss for the variator. Thats what i did to get more speed.

The stud kit i got with the MHR replica from QwikFix Garage is for regular stroke bores. That's what i have mocked up on my block. I can get it if you like.
Scooter Swap Shop ranked the PG flip-cone at #3. #1 2Fast. #2 C16. #3 PG flip cone. #4 Arrow. The flip-cone was a pipe that was sent to them from Hawaii for dyno testing along with some Scorpions and a stock PG Long. Neat stuff.
--edit-- Thanks for the offer to order the PG bore. The owner at QwikFix told me that he could get that bore kit if i wanted it. From what i gather, PG products here on Oahu come through VTcycles, a shop known on Hondaspree forum.
