Ok so i recently bought a ice bear maddog (pmz50-19) and doing my own mods. 1St bike and new too every thing. So first thing i did was buy a 100cc bbk this came with· Kit Includes 50mm Big Bore Cylinder Kit With Assembled Head, Performance Racing CDI (AC Fired), Performance Cam, · Head is Completely Assembled Ready to Install 64mm Valve Length · 50mm Piston Set With Rings & Wrist Pin · Big Bore Main Jet, Rocker Arm Set, 8 Gram Roller Weights, Oil Pump & Sprocket, Intake & Exhaust Studs & Complete Gasket Set · Fits..... I should have got the perfomance coil too. But i guess I'll get it. Later. But so far I'm in love lol. There is so much more pick up. Haven't hit top speed yet. Want to break it in nice n easy. I'm told that an after market air intake it's not needed Cuz this bad a** bike perfomance muffler and air intake was already included. Know also that along with the coil i would like to buy clutch and torque springs. Not sure which would be better for me.Im a bigger guy 6'1 n bout 265. Also before i do that there was no tachometer. So i need to install one before doing any thing else. So i can tune my cvt better. I wouldn't off even of known most of this if wasnt for talking to 90GTVert. Special thanks to him and any one else who could help

Glad it's running well. Once you get a tach you'll probably be able to tell how much change you need in the CVT a little better. I prefer to stick with 1000RPM contra springs, or stock if it's still working fine. Very stiff springs often do little more than making CVT service more difficult. If the rollers have the RPM where you want it, a stiffer contra will throw that off and you'll need heavier weights to get back to where you were.

Liquid laundry detergent is great to get that greasy black goo of your hands.

Different people seem to have different spots where their scoots run best. If you aren't seeing at least 7000RPM, it prob needs lighter weights or a stiffer spring for the best results. Some like to keep the revs down with the big 50mm kits though, hoping to increase engine life since 50mm kits are known to cause crank/bearing failures prematurely.

Yea like 90gtvert mentioned , its a balancing act. On one hand you need lighter roller/sliders springs etc. To get that wide rear wheel rolling , but at the same time wanna keep rpm's mild to preserve engine with the 50mm bbk. But whatever ya do keep it fun!

You can find all the info you need here:
Tech library
And here:
4T performance
This one I read every night for a month before I took my engine apart to install my BBK:
How To : Big Bore Kit Installation
Took about 3-4 hrs from getting in the garage to first start.
You can skip installing the oil pump that came with your kit, its the same as the one already in your engine.
Have fun!!!

There are some starters that do better than others. I know some were marked HaiWei or something like that. I think there are starters advertised as high torque starters now too. Not sure how good they are. Before spending on a different starter, I'd make sure the battery is in good condition. If you happen to have larger gauge wires around, you could also try just temporarily running a larger wire from batt to relay to starter and a good ground cable to engine, frame, and batt. Sometimes larger wires will help, sometimes not. If they do, get some 8-10AWG and redo the starter system and ground wires. Battery checks : www.youtube.com/watch?v=Bw3ikMEGh74Cable upgrade : 49ccscoot.proboards.com/thread/384/upgrade-battery-starter-cablesI don't know of any upgrades for the kick start. Even on a 50 it's a good idea to save it for emergencies. They kinda suck.

So having so much fun on my bike. Looking for the cables for the starter n such. Also gotta get the gearing still for the kick start. But i love riding. I had a old mini bike when i was like 10 n haven't ridin since. I'd like to take some videos of riding n such.like a said a new scooter just a few months ago. But so far bbk was put in at around 800 miles. Now almost at 975. Also wanted to know since i live in Massachusetts how's winter riding? Any thing i should b careful of? And snow tires? Or something else?

When I worked at a bike shop we sold a bracket that mounted on the handlebars. I've seen similar at Walmart.
