tried all day to take the jet out. seems to be stripping the top of the jet. ill figure it out. so still taking things apart and cleaning them. on taking the air filter off there was sum oil and the air filter its self kinda smelled like gas. i know thats not good. gonna drain oil and replace soon to make sure no gas got in it. was wondering if i should take vacume lines off and clean out or is it ok?

wen getting a bigger jet i should get what sizes i mean im gonna get a set so should it b between 85 and 105 or somethng like that. and should i worry about the other jet .. pilot jet .. the smaller jet. sorry guys still gettin used to lingo. also the pilot jet looks like 1 whole piece not just the top? like on the main jet. is there a certien one i need to get?

Yes your pilot jet is one piece. Your main is 2 pieces. I would recommend a kit that has at least one size smaller than a 85 and up. You never know. It would suck if your scoot rocked on a 82 and all you got is 85and up. I wouldn't worry about the pilot as of now. I know for a fact other members have told you this. When tuning you only change one thing at a time....

yes 1 thing at a time but was gonna order it so i have it. thats all. thank u clank and every one else. i honestly have alot of fun working n learning with u guys.

I wouldn't go any bigger than up 2 what your pilot jet is now IMO. Example: If you've got a 38 don't go bigger than 40.  P.S. you've gotta stick around long enough to post your results or else jhobe6678 might come looking for you. |

dude im here till i cant scoot no more. i never was really a scooter person till about 5 months ago now i lov it its not to compicated easy to work on way cheaper then a car. ok so pilot is 28 dont go higher then a 30. and the pilot is just whatever better rpm?

That sounds like a really small idle jet. What kinda carb do you have again? Usually there like 35 to 38.

Are you sure it's not a 38? I didn't even know they made a jet as small as a 28. Can got measure the i.d. on the carb outlet? It should be around 18mm. Most little carbs I've seen come stock with either a 35 or 38. Its not a really good pic of your carb.
