They don't call it work for nuthin lol. Raising compression tonite if possible and going to try and get a video if its not too cold out. This top end is a blast to drive. Even with the gears it wants to try and do a wheelie on a good launch and I'm really hoping it doesn't when it makes more power. I just want that hair extra up top so I can cruise at 60-65 when i want or if its windy. 55 up good size hills or strong wind isn't bad though but every once in a while I'm on a 60 mph rd and i just dont want to get plowed over from behind.

I didn't read through the whole build so I'm assuming it hasn't changed much from the first page (?)
Your crusing 60-65 on a 50cc with a leo vince zx? holy hell

I didn't read through the whole build so I'm assuming it hasn't changed much from the first page (?) Your crusing 60-65 on a 50cc with a leo vince zx? holy hell Pretty much just a stock bottom end still and it has 17,500ish miles. I'm thinking I will split the cases on the new motor since I can't use that crank and try and recover some of my losses on that one. Stage6 has a pretty one I've been eyeing and it can use the 12-10mm reduction bearing I have from them. Its too pricey and hard to order a 12mm piston that will kind of work with this cylinder and the 10mm piston kit for it can be sourced in the us for alot less. The malossi mhr 50cc cylinder makes noticeably more power than my Athena 70cc kit and that thing was a bad little kit. So far though with 10:1 gears this kit has been a big delight and i only paid 179 for it so if anyone is interested in staying 50cc but need 70cc power ill gladly share a link to one.

thats amazing. Is it a stock speedo? Is it 60-65 on GPS?

Its a stock Speedo but its accurate. Its about 2-3 mph off from a GPS reading for speed but thats not too bad. Most of them are pretty far off.

Ok so I finally said screw it and ordered a new crank. Anyone looking for a 12mm pin Doppler crank? I'm going to post in the for sale section soon. I have a stage6 hpc crank with the 12mm pin to go under my malossi mhr bore. I'm sure that should do decent for the time being. Fuel injection is going to be added to this thing in the near future so thats when it should get interesting. I cruise around 56-58 now most days and have hit 61 mph so far with these long gears. My zxr exhaust has been killing me due to its power falling off after 8k rpms so I got the stage6 pro rep to try and get it to make power longer. I'm expecting to see the exhaust within the next week its already been 11 days since I ordered it with scootertuning.ca I found out the gears made the over range lock up and the revs finally start increasing about 15 mph after it did with the stock gears so instead of 45mph its 60mph. I'm thinking with the hpc crank and my ported case and better exhaust ill easily break 60 and get the revs to climb to pull the gears. Maybe not to 75+ mph but I think it might see past 9k with the new motor. Especially with fuel injection making sure its making the most power it can at any rpm.

The exhaust should be here tomorrow so hopefully all goes well with the tuning fiasco after its installed. I figure I might as well check the bore and ring along with replace the needle bearing so I have a brand new one. I ordered it a while ago just never ended up putting it in. Will try to get results posted and if its a more exciting pull and not too cold out ill try and get a video.

Had to modify the exhaust mounting bracket and shim it a hair but it fit well and didn't leak. It barely ran it was bogging out like crazy so I kept stepping down in jet sizes until I got go a 70 main jet. I was using an 85 main jet. That seemed strange to me but it ran and revved good so I adjusted the needle from the middle clip around until I got too rich again and back it off a notch to know it was jetted decent. It wouldn't do more than 20-25 mph so I come home it hits the driveway and hits the power and and almost does a wheelie. So I keep lowering my roller/slider weight go get the revs up and end up putting in my stiffest contra spring so the clutch wont go from first gear to 50mph gearing instantly and drop the revs. I was having to accelerate at over 9k rpms to keep my revs up. I didn't have any light enough other than 5g sliders and they were too big of a jump. I have a stock crank until my stage6 crank shows up in the mail so I can't accelerate at 10,500 rpms all day. I have some lighter rollers coming and a new back tire. My 2 week old tire picked up a pocket knife blade while i was tuning and lets just say its not very brand new anymore. It has about an inch and a half gash across it. But after I get those most likely Tuesday ill see if I can get it driveable with the new exhaust. When the power and kicked in it was getting stronger all the way up to 10k rpms and you could tell it wasn't its peak it was just getting started. Needless to say that exhaust is going to be scary with a good crank and a nice case. I dont think its going to have a problem hitting 65 as is. It hit 60 feathering it to keep it under 10k and it still had a ton of pull more than this cylinder ever has had. I'm sort of thinking this exhaust might be a little too much for me and I might need some more gear to tone it down or something.

I'm working on it so don't worry. I get my new tire tomorrow when I get home so I'm going to try and get that exhaust put on after I get my tire put on. I have to pull my exhaust off anyways so I might as well try to make the best of it. And with as much money as I've dumped into it it better be the baddest 50cc in town. If my friend up north ever makes it to the post office it will be guaranteed with the turbo he's sending. He's in the process of trying to get his license back and his kids are too spoiled to drive him there so he's been at a stalemate and its driving me crazy.

Thank you and I didn't get much done today. I had a dead blinker and it wasn't a bulb or the wiring so I'm pretty glad I got a new set of blinkers sent to me from Parts For Scooters. One of them had the lens fall off when it was in the package still but some superglue fixed that. I had to pull half of my bike apart to get to the wire connections but having a working blinker thats even brighter than the stock ones is pretty important with this traffic. I wish they made led blinkers for the front too but so far I haven't found anything. Tomorrow I should have the other exhaust on and the cvt tuned so its driveable. I got the new back tire and the weights but its already late now and I didn't get out of work till 7 so I'm calling it quits for the nite. Tomorrow ill get pictures of the pro rep pipe and it installed. If I can get it in good tune ill try and get some videos if the temp is like it was today.

I got the exhaust on today the tire changed and my tail light jammed back into the socket. The new exhaust rattled it lose lol. I got a mixture of weights in there to keep it at around 9200 rpms on acceleration but if I cruise at 40-45 it likes to try and dip down a little bit and when it does that the revs get too low but a twist of the throttle and a second or 2 later it builds revs back up and takes off. I might just have to run the rpms a little higher and deal with it screaming 24/7 like I've done in the past. I dont really want to but I love the way it runs with this exhaust. Its a little more acceleration than my old exhaust but for some reason it wont go any faster than my old pipe. I might have it a hair too rich now or too much oil and thats slowing me down now. I did a dizzy stab at the carb and put it a jet size richer than I was running before just to be safe. It really liked the 70 main jet last time I tried it but I stuck a 75 in just incase it remembered it liked fuel.
