Bit of frustration today.
The clear float bowl I put on the carburetor was to small in size at the bottom where the jet is. Starving the carb for fuel, swapped the old one back on it fired, briefly.
I had to switch some hoses around on the fuel pump, lucky for me during that process my spray painted portion of the front frame section now needs repainted thanks to the fuel dripping on it... bitchin'.
Got it started and I had to screw the idle screw all the way in to get it to idle right with a 100 main jet. It promptly shut off during tuning and hasn't restarted since. Starter fluid, relentless kicks of the kick starter has yet to re awaken the beast.
Tomorrow is a new day.

Screwing the mixture screw all the way in on a DellOrto should mean you leaned it out all the way. Might wanna try backing it out 2 turns or so and sticking a smaller pilot jet in there.
Good luck with it. You know where we are if you need anything.

Today I'm 4 sparkplugs down and finally have something to show for my work. I think my biggest mistake is going kick start only.. Im going to have a bad hip before this is all over. Managed to destroy my nice Stage6 kick starter today and just about drove myself over the edge before I took the carburetor apart and realized the atomizer was loose causing the engine to flood no matter what jet I put in. From now on even if the carb is new go through it with a fine tooth comb...check.
Now we are sitting at a 90 main jet and its getting there. Still having some idle issues, you have to turn the idle screw all the way in before it will idle. It dont make a darn bit of difference how many turns the fuel screw is in or out at this point which I really dont get... yet.

Tried a different pilot jet? Was just gonna say that ;D! The Dello,s come very rich on the pilot side outta the box. Mine had a 60 in it ! Runs good with high 30,s, low 40,s pilots. Hows the choke look? I know my uncles remote choke was way outta whack. It was set even with the switch off causing it to run very rich.

Out and about today on a shakedown run. Still have a few wiring and final location of the license place and taillight issues to figure out. Its a real blast to ride and the gears really help out. Im running the Polini gears which I forget the exact number but it reduces it down from 4 to 3.38. I think I could use a lighter set of weights and fix up a rear fender to balance it out. More pictures after Friday night.
