I got couple things done with this project today. I put the bopper tire on, and I was pleasantly surprised to see that the tire is tubeless so I dont need to worry about f*cking up inner tubes!! Thank god!! Then I replaced the seat cover and it looks way better than before before after Also I took it for a quick spin and it still rides like crap and has a hard time getting up past 40mph. So I think I got to "gung-ho" with the gears, so I will put them back to stock for now until I figure out whats really making me run like crap. Last night I pulled the trigger on that Malossi RS1 from scootertuning.ca so that should be here in a couple weeks. Then, I was talking to my buddy around here who is a real scooter guru with good prebug experience. He strongly recommended that I ditch this carb in favor of a Dellorto, and an OR setup to get this thing tuned good. He said he had a Corsa, C16, and MHR OR on stock gears cruising at 55 all day with good wheelie ability. So Im looking at OR setups now, and Dells and Dell clones lol.... Looks like its back to square one all over again.

You gotta ditch that stock intake man. Add this to your order before it ships scootertuning.ca/en/intakes/16001-intake-system-stage6-mkii-oversize.htmlI'd try some heavier rollers. These vertical motors like heavier weights then the horizontal motors from my experience with them. For example, I had pretty much the exact same set up on a horizontal motor that I currently have on my vertical motor. The horizontal had 4.1g rollers and the vertical has 5.1g rollers.

Yea I did read that on your build PIG the only thing is that my setup is unconventional because my pre-bug motor lives underneath a 1990 Jog so the spacing may be different and that intake may hit my shock. I need to see how this Malossi shock sits before I buy that super nice looking S6 intake. I do have this one laying around scootertuning.ca/en/intakes/16023-intake-system-doppler-s2r-23mm.html That Im hoping will fit after I ditch this RFY for the Malossi shock to free up some space. If it has good enough space I will definately buy that S6 intake if the S2R intake doesnt work out. Is the S2R basically the same as stock? Is running the horizontal mina style reeds the winning ticket?

The S6 intake sticks about 3/4" further out then the stock intake if that helps you out. The stock intake is soooo restricted and pinched down, you'll never get it to breath the way it wants/needs too. Try the weights man, mines like 15mph faster then yours and I have stock gears. Something is up with your tune, there's know way mine should be that much faster.

So I just went and tried weights. I know what you mean about it liking heavier weights and all. I went thru a process of finding that out when I first got this thing running. I ended up using 5.5g weights and with this same set up on the Jog vert motor it liked 5g weights... But you got me thinking about weights because since I got this swap running I been using cheap Dr. Pulley style roller slider things because the old vert Jog motor responded well to them. So I put in regular round rollers of the same weight (5-6-5-6-5-6) and things got better for sure. Re-acceleration and response got better and it doesnt hit the wall so bad at 30mph anymore but i can still feel a performance drop around 30mph (maybe thats normal). So thanks PIG for getting my brain going in the right direction. Now I cant wait to see what swapping the intake is going to do. If Im not satisfied with the Doppler S2R intake I will definately grab that S6 intake when I order the OR set up. And when you say it sticks out 3/4" further you do mean towards the left side of the bike correct?

I used to have also a drop between 30-45km/h until I swapped the torque driver to a straight groove after market one. Are your torque driver grooves straight or angled?

It is angled. But i think im going to go for an overrange setup soon anyway.

Good call on the TD. It's been so long since I've had an angled one I'd forgotten all about them. I'm using the OEM TD that came in my bugeye Zuma. The 08+ models came with straight TD.
