He said his name was Louie. He was rude and seemed like all he wanted to do was get me off the phone. I didnt get travking that day as promised, so I complained to paypal 3 days ago, and my refund came thru today! Not going there again!! spi-parts.com has HORRIBLE service.. Off to scootertuning.ca I go!!!

Use heat and cold and it'll go together without much force. Easiest for me is to chill the crank overnight in the freezer in a plastic bag (spray it with WD40 first) and heat the bearings at 250F in an oven for ~30min or just check them to see when they're up to temp. The bearings should slide on. Chill that assembly and then heat the cases to ~250F. Should again go together without pressing/pulling. Don't forget a good sealant before the 2 halves are joined. There are vids in the Tech Library showing a few ways.

Ok nice.. I will most likely do the heat/cold thing for the crank and bearings, then to install the crank/crank bearing assy into the cases I was going to use a Tusk crankshaft installer.. So, do you think with the use of the tusk crank installer it is still necessary to heat the cases? Or should I heat the cases wether using a special tool or not?

I use a different method i've learned from an mx mechanic. I've seen this method in several mx shops too.
Heat the cases to 110/120 degrees celcius. Drop in the bearing. Heat the bearings inner ring with a small soldering torch. I use a Wurth pyro pen. Heat the inner ring for about 5mns and place the crank in the bearing.

You can do the install with the Tusk tool without heating/cooling, but I have that tool and still find the hot/cold method to be easier. I have used it when I guess I didn't get enough temp difference to finish pulling in a crank that stopped going, so it's still nice to have handy.

I have that Doppler crank in a 70 build sitting in my garage. I need to get it built! I ran the crank a bit and quality is great!

The doppler endurance cranks seem to be of very good quality. The budget version with the alu colored plugs (the one whitch killed my engine) seem to have a inferior and oddly sized small-end bearing which seems to fail quite often.
Do you guys can get hold of power-one cranks? The polini evo replica cranks? They seem to be nearly on the same quality level of the A brand cranks. People here run them om the high-end LC 70's like the malossi 7T and polini evo cylinders.

Never heard of them. Not at all surprising though. Our availability of quality parts is limited and costly.
