Are you sure there is no spark? Did you wet your pinky finger and insert it in the spark plug boot while cranking it.... ::zap:: Yes, no spark whatsoever. I used a spaark plug boot tester to see if there was a spark @90gtvert, I will check them when I get home from work. They make a boot tester? Wow you learn something new everyday. I bet you knocked a wire loose like Brent said. Don't forget to check the fuse etc also. |

Checked both fuses, my batteries been dead for like 2 weeks or so, gonna try to make it to store today to buy another for easier diagnosis! But still, kick starting scoot is not producing a spark.

Maybe you removed the ground wire to engine while taking CVT cover off or something? There's often a heavy engine ground wire that is bolted on with one of the CVT cover bolts...

I always make sure that I ground that wire back out. Im gonna go home today and check every damn wire and make sure there all connected. I tried taking a screwdriver and try to turn the starter using the solenoid, and nothing. Shouldnt that usually bypass the dead battery and get the engine to turn? |

If the battery is dead, the starter isn't going to turn... also isn't included in the circuit that produces spark...

Thanks man, I ordered a new cdi, and a tach for when I get it running. I checked every single wire and there all plugged into something. I had an oil leak, and the wire connections from the stator to the wiring harness are oily. Gonna clean em tomorrow, done for today. |

Gonna check the local scoot shops in my area to see if they have any cheap stators, if not ill be getting one from niz76, also going to install the voltage regulator and hopefully this scoot will be up and running by the end of the day!!! Im ready and itching like hell to get back on 2 wheels. I wish I never bought a car and bought a 2nd scoot lol

Figured out today it came down to either my ignition went bad or stator. I ordered the stator for now since I just replaced my ignition like 6months ago. Purchases a battery today, just gotta charge it. And purchased a stator, flywheel puller, and an adjustable 280mm rear shock from partsforscooters. Should have them tomorrow or friday.

Gonna have a fun day tomorrow getting new parts installed!! Can't wait to get the stator in, and praying it is what isnt producing the spark, praying!!!

All parts I ordered will be at my house by the time I get home from work, and starting to install and hopefully have it running within 2 hrs and be on the road again!! Will upload some pics tonight as well.

Parts are at the fedex facility, going to pick them up after 6pm. In the meantime I spray painted what plastic panels I am keeping on the scoot, flat black. Rims will be another day, possibly another color. Pictures tonight, or tomorrow, whenever its back together:D

And shes alive again!!! A bit of playing with cdi's, wires, and installing the new stator, shes alive once again. Just have to upjet a bit more than I did, scoots starvin for fuel and not going fast at WOT.
