Crazyguy came to my house today on his scoot and wow gotta say he is really living up to his forum name haha. He drove his scoot all the way from Clearwater (maybe 30 miles down a super busy 4 lane road US19) pulling on a string attached to his throttle cable! LMAO Scoot seemed to be running pretty well but that string- yeah Crazy! Haha, gotta get around!! Gonna order a new cable monday morning  thanks for the piston and front turn signal my friend. |

I haven't installed one on a Zip. It was pretty straightforward on my RX8/Triton.

So im looking into a performance cvt kit, I may get just a new variator and lighten the clutch, but whats the difference in the stock and performance variators?

Got the new bbk installed on the zip r3i, didnt have my jet kit to upjet, and she soft seized, didnt feel like ruining the cylinder or piston, so Im leaving it sit until tomorrow when my dad drops it off at my house, its in his garage about 15miles away.

Couple questions I have about soft seizing..
Can low compression cause soft seize?
Can not upjetting after install of bbk cause it?

Never heard of low compression causing a seize but improper jetting certainly will.

Let me know if im wrong, so too small of a jey, and lack of oil is what I need to focus my attention on as my problem?
Can I run the scoot with premix and disassemble the oil pump cable thats attached to the throttle cable? Thats what I did when I took it on a test run. my throttle rig was also stuck at full throttle so I couldnt go anyslower besides holdin back brake to restrict revs

I have a new oem throttle cable for you to replace the stock double cable If your ditching the pump... $10 plus shipping if interested...

So I really like the triton r4 front panel better than the zip, will they fit properly with the rest of the zip panels?

Also, any guide on here that shows how to vent the cvt case? I put 5 3/8" holes together, but would like to know what tools etc to open it up all the way!
