I'll probably drop off the cylinder and block with my Scooter Guru for porting and matching after the holidays.

On a side note; Picked this up for $25 the other day. It has a spun bearing. I think i'll put a jog engine underneath it… I've got a problem.

I lovin the carb angle. Looks awesome when it's WOT. You don't have any issues running with no air filter though?

I usually do run a foam filter, but I had the jetting dialed it with it off. I like to squeak as much power as I can, out if it, for the runs. There are a lot of fast mopeds on the island.

The last run we had passing showers. Those foam filters will saturate with water until it reaches a breaking point, and the carb will suck in a load of water killing your rings at the least.

Another awesome vid! I'm curious- with so many fast scoots on the island, are there any Minarelli's that are up there with the Honda Dio's speed-wise? Do you see the Honda's dominating the speed as the "top scoots"? I see your Venus is tearing it up!

There is a Rexy (which is a jog clone with big wheels and zuma engine) with a polini 94cc, but I've only seen it on a trailer. Everybody out here pretty much runs dio engines and they're fast has well with generations of tuning experience. Funny thing about local boys, they love toyota pickups and honda elite mopeds 4 life, nothing else. I'm hoping to show em what the jog engine is all about. In my opinion the jog should smoke a dio with equal parts. The jog intake is just so big compared to the dio block. There is so much more tuning potential with the jog engine. The dio's are easy to make fast. Jogs are harder to tune but once fine tuned should be faster than any dio. None of these guys out here have seen a 2Fast4Race or a Team Cristofolini cylinder, which should smoke any Dio acceleration and top speed wise. In my humble opinion.

my stock malossi liquid cooled mhr 70cc Jog cylinder was faster than my 90cc fully ported and matched Arnada (dio engine), and I never got it tuned right before I had to break down the bike and save the engine. I was moving and didn't have the space for 3 complete bikes. I still have this engine and plan on using it some time…. Check it out www.youtube.com/watch?v=WXiJc82Lk4U

Did that cvt cover hold up cut like that? No. While tuning on the highway, the clutch and bell passed me in the fast lane then cut me off and launched into the cane fields. Never to be found again. And I tried several times. It was a $100 clutch and a $100 bell.
