With my experience in soft seizing a LC cylinder.... it gave me no warning at all .... Nothing like an AC cylinder anyway,,, just make sure your plug chops are good and you should be ok!!!! Just my 2cent.... Did you use a temp gauge?

So I'm wondering, when my bike was still AC on the top speed, I can hear and feel the engine just work so fast to the point that I barely feel any friction or revving and this for me usually means I'm about to seize it. (trying to describe as best as I can) Now that I'm on LC, do I need to worry about this still? Currently using a 93 main jet. My friend said that this is even too high for Colorado as he uses a 102 in CA. Don't go off anyones jetting recommendations! He could have the exact same scoot with exact same parts at the same elevation etc. and I still wouldn't compare jet sizes! Learn to tune your carb by feel and then by reading the spark plug. No two scoots are the same and using a main jet off of someone else's recommendation is playing with fire.

Just my 2cent.... Did you use a temp gauge? Yes I use temp gage as its a must with a LC cylinder!!!! But when I did seize my expensive cylinder I noticed no change in temp!!!! But I did find obviously I was lean on my jetting at the time.... Lol I guess you live and learn.... But now after driving the LC for so long I can (hear)/feel if it's lean or rich!!!!

How does rich / lean feel to you? I finally replaced the old variator with a new and CORRECT one with 9gr rollers vs 6gr and I was in the mood for a little ride. 3/4 throttle I can easily hit 45mph+ . WOT I see the needle hit above 50mph but I got scared and stopped since I haven't done a proper main jet test. Besides the stock speedo only goes up to 50mph. I wonder what will happen when I put the new TOP Racing crank and 15/44 primary gears in...

Ok so the new crank shaft and bearings are installed, But I have a issue with the primary gear because the gear itself is too small and it doesn't even look Like the gear in the gear box!!
What the heck is going on here??
Ps: the old stock crank had a 1/6000th inch tolerance the new top racing crank was at 1/1000th inch.
So im assuming the stock crank was ready to be replaced?

i took the stock speedometer apart since I'm losing some functions of the light, fuel etc. So im going to reinstall them as in photo and just zip tie them underneath. As for the fuel gauge, I'm going to cut the fuel meter panel out of the entire board and make a hole on the abs plastic sheet where my vapor is going to sit and just leave it exposed.

Just got my thermocouple from trail tech. I had to use an adapter so it fits the cylinder head.
My temp reading on the coolant is between 205-215f. Maxes out at 220f so far and I haven't even gone wot.
Is this ok?

That's coolant temp or head temp? If it's coolant temp, then yes it's high.

I'm pretty sure it's both. I screwed the thermocouple into the cylinder head where the coolant is. This doesn't go on the spark plug

Oh, you're getting a reading right at the hottest spot. I got ya. Umm, I can't answer then because I don't know what it should be right there.

Where's your gauge set at? Is it the one that you insert into the hose near the radiator?

Today I managed to do the port timing and squish mods. Added a gasket, base space, then malossi stock gasket on the cylinder. We shaved off 2.5mm off the cylinder and ended up with 0.9mm squish still o.o
1. I'm not sure if my temp gauge is right... but I went from a max of 242f to now 287f.
2. Seems like it has more power in the mid-top range and RPM goes from 8000-9700 very easily. WOT was over 10.000. Previously I maxed out wot at 9600rpm. All with the Leo Vince ZXR pipe.
BUT, the top speed is still around 50mph...
