Yup, sold the R12 so I'll be able to buy one soon.
I measured the R12 VS the Pro, the Pro has identical cone shapes (the down pipe is pressed, so it does have less cones), the only difference is the longer (+40mm I think) header on the Pro and longer stinger on the R12. If the R12 is a fairly poor pipe, a lower peaking version with an identical midsection is going to be no better.
Plus, the Yasuni's have a brilliant low rumble nothing can match ;D

Decided to keep the R12 for now and have sold the Pro - I want to see what it will do with a full race cylinder. Some of you might remember that it wouldn't behave (i.e. run smoothly below 9k) since it's rebuild. Well, when I took the top end off to attach the stub for the R12 I discovered that the head gasket had gone . I suspect that below those RPM's enough water was entering the combustuion chamber to cause running problems, but at higher speeds it was not enough to cause problems. Something that reminded me of that's related: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Water_injection_%28engines%29Anyways, it's running better below 9k even with the R12, which makes bugger all power there compared to the Pro.

If it's worth doing, it's worth doing properly ;D
The PSN order will probably change, as not all the parts are in stock.
Got something really special planned for the CVT cover involving red, black and carbon fibre :riding:
Bram says if I don't get at least 16hp he'll tune my next cyl for free - I reckon 18 is possible with the extra 0.8-1hp from the domed Malossi piston (the dome reduces short circuiting), plus it's lighter.
Anyways, enough talking, I've got some serious work to be doing!

His confidence is reassuring. Can't wait to see some dyno numbers... and maybe a little video? ;D

His confidence is reassuring. Can't wait to see some dyno numbers... and maybe a little video? ;D Naturally, and I'll pile all the parts up and take a pic - should be a nice big pile ;D I think I've ordered everything I need, got some paint stuff to get in town for the CVT cover but that's about it.

Time for a long overdue update, I think. But first, a few pics of the finished article:

If it's running as well as it's looking, you should be quite pleased!

If it's running as well as it's looking, you should be quite pleased! Ah, but that it isn't. Wasn't able to use the modified S6R, as the head matched to the piston was damaged in transit: The stock S6R and R1200 combo is less than brilliant, rather reluctant to rev. Still, it's no snail... Bram's sorting me another head, so should have it sorted soon.

Sorry man. I should have known better than to think you'd have luck that's not bad. I was hoping your streak was over.

Sorry man. I should have known better than to think you'd have luck that's not bad. I was hoping your streak was over. I was thinking you'd inherited my bad luck, maybe I gained someone elses  Going to pay a visit to Readspeed (http://www.readspeedscooters.com/) on monday, they can make me a head whilst I wait and they have a dyno. Only just found them, only 40mins away too ;D

I've got plenty of my own bad luck without yours. lol It's a good thing there's an ocean between us, cause if we lived anywhere near each other I think there'd be meteors crashing into our towns and scooters exploding all around us and I don't have a bomb suit or an umbrella. :scared:
At least you have one bit of luck, you keep finding dynos nearby. ;D
