Also I thought I bought a NEW scrappydogs motor, but from all the repairs and broken parts I'm not sure I did. Should I also ask for the parts to send back to scrappy to show them what the hell is going on?

It wouldn't be a bad idea to ask for the old parts if you are suspicious anyway. Not sure what your best course of action is otherwise. This is sounding like a good bit more than I would expect to get it running. Glad they didn't charge you for the carb cleaning. Ultrasonic cleaning is supposed to be a good way to get all the passages clean, and something most shops can't do. It shouldn't cost you $100 though. At that rate, they woulda been better off to replace the carb with a new one. At any rate, maybe someone with more business savvy can help you more with how to deal with the bill. I'm a sucker and I always end up just paying even when think it's too high.

Has there been any progress on your motor? mine is still acting strange even with the new carb. Grab a hand full of throttle and it revs up then bogs down over and again. This is with the screw all the way in. Out all it does is die. The new carb has a jet in it that doesnt have a mark on it so i have no idea what size it is. I am not happy about this at all as I am going to have to take it to a shop to get it worked on. This was supposed to be a motor that was drop in and go. I checked the reed valves and teh "new" ones were leaking like crazy. The ones on my old motor were in perfect condition so i swapped them but it didnt make much of a difference. I am going to look at the Stator tonight and see if everything looks good there. But like i said most likely the 50cc is going back on. anyone in the market for a $400 paper weight?

Please don't sell it Bill. If you get it running well, I believe you'll understand why I urge you not to give up. What you are experiencing now sounds just like a main jet that's too small to me.
EDIT : I moved the rest of this to an existing thread about Bill's scoot's issue to keep things organized rather than saying it all twice.

Another update guys... I got my scooter back and its in pieces cause the shop gave up on it. So now I am stuck with fixing it myself. Seems that the stator is the problem. I will post pics soon and see if you guys have any input to what the problem is. Any help is much appreciated.

So they just can't find a stator or what?

They said it started, but never ran. It just idled. I put the stator back in the bike because I personally did not see anything wrong with it. I now have to rewire what they undid...

Unless they cut up your harness, the wiring should be pretty straightforward with matching color wires and simple bullet type connectors.
Everything connects to the harness, not directly to other components - if that helps.

Well pics as promised cause I never had the time. The wiring that they didn't finish... The biggest POS I have ever bought.

The wiring just looks like it needs to be reconnected. Nice scoot. They were out of red I assume?

Thanks guys! Well quick question. Since the colors don't exactly match anymore would it hurt the scooter if I rewired it via trial and error?
