Picked up this “barn find” for my son’s partner in crime. 2001 Suzuki GZ250. Set up as a bobber with flat black paint. Paid $200, included all the original parts that had been stripped off for the bobber conversion. I really like it. I’m going to tell him that I have “right of first refusal” if/when he decides to sell it. I’ll be taking it to a locksmith tomorrow to have new keys made and then off to the mechanic for what I’m sure will be a well needed tuneup.

I struggled to keep my sanity while editing last week as the editor lagged and glitched constantly. Noticed the disk that I was storing files on for editing was at 100% load and going very slow. Picked up a 2nd NVMe SSD to use for editor storage now. Fingers crossed that it’s good to go now. These things got way cheaper since I built my PC 4 years ago. I paid almost the exact same price for a 500GB then as a 2TB now.

I bought a set of Zuma bugeye plastics from Thibault in Canada. Quality is good, there is a slight imperfection in the front fairing, but paint work is great. Lambo yellow as they call it is more of an orange yellow, and I'm really partial to Yamaha's Vivid Yellow so if I keep this set I'll have it repainted. They have a pretty cool catalog

Just paid a speed camera violation for 50 in a 35 in the truck. Salisbury MD claims to use these to keep the areas safe around schools, but they're just collecting money. They were protecting the school that's not even on that highway at the beginning of August. lol I remember the day because I'm not there a lot. Literally 1/4 mile later a girl came across 3 lanes, appearing to never look, and made me jam on the brakes to miss her back bumper by a foot.
The worst part is, I know that I went through there at least that fast on the TMAX not long ago. Now I'm waiting for the next one.

I have three safety camera,s one on the commute route and two on my delivery route to town, two have just been replaced by new ones that catch you both ways and can detect phone use age and seat belt infringements,I have to be very cautious as one careless trip could add up to 12 points and the loss of my licence . Here in Dover PA the local cops lay in wait inside the 25mph zones to snag you rolling along at 40. I’m darn careful to do no more than 30 in a 25 here.

I guess we are fortunate here? Speed limit signs are pretty much a suggestion (Except in school zones) Maybe once every other week I see someone pulled over, presumably for speeding. Guess they were really pushing the limits.

Geoff Thankfully, they aren't using speed cameras like actual tickets... yet. Here they are just money makers. The town that I got the ticket in had a an uproar some time ago because so many see it as just a money grab. In some cases it's not even the town/city that makes money on them, but some independent company. I have lost my license before, but it was all from actual pullovers. I speed too much again these days and need to watch it. The last ride I took this week, I passed two Sheriffs on the same road a few minutes apart doing 20-25MPH over the limit. I later saw them both at a restaurant together, so I think I may have been really lucky that they had a dinner date.
