Why did they ban blankets in the UK? Is a sheet or comforter enough? LOL I can't believe they have you listed as a responsible adult. It seems that would not be any fun at all. -No puppets for you Only duvets for us. Toasty in the summer. I seem to remember milly was restoring a gun. He is aloud as he is responsible apparently! 😂 Pistol is still sitting in a box awaiting me to do a bit of filing in fact that can happen tomorrow if I remember after getting paint.

I need to pick up some more cleaning supplies for my collection. I hate to get the spray types. The spray cans always run out of pressure before they are empty. I end up having to find a container then puncturing the spray can to drain them. I could use some red and white paint also for some of the safety indicators etc.
I am also considering a magazine loader.

This graphic was back in 9/2023 but dated 7/2023 in the US,
taxes seem to be a significant portion at ~14/15% The disruptions caused by Russia in the Ukraine are the major problem. Countries that import fuel are suffering.

Our fuel is about 70% tax! It really is criminal. I paid £1:50 a litre for fuel yesterday. That's at one of the cheaper supermarkets around here.

I think that is around £1:50 x 3.8 which is about £5.7 / gallon, about 5.7 x 1.08 =~ $6.16 / gallon. Which is about 2x our price here in the US but I have not purchased any gas/petrol lately. -I don't drive much, a single fill usually lasts me a month or so. My van gas gauge does not work so I fill every 200 miles. My scoot gauge did not work long at all, failed after a few days with the first fill. I think the float sank.
Sorry, my math and conversions are rough...

No matter where we live a fill with gas/petrol IS a SIGNIFICANT PURCHASE.
I don't seem to be able to get out of a grocery store without dropping $150-200. I clip coupons for fast food places now, which is something I didn't do before the Covid.

I picked up a green LASER sight and picatinny rail to mount it on the Ruger MK4. I just can't use iron sights with my presbyopia and a red dot sight is not much better either. I haven't been able to do much shooting for 30 years because of my eyes, the cost of ammo, and the cost of firearm sight improvements. Rimfire is way cheaper than centerfire but I still had an old box of 50 Remington 22LR that had a $0.79 price sticker on it. I have kept it around just for kicks. I can remember buying a box of 50 for 50 cents. Talk about sticker shock! My first .22 rifle was less than $50 and came with a scope from Sears mail order. No background checks then either. The new green LASER is supposed to be visible up to 200 meters in daylight and 2000 meters at night. I can't even see much of anything that far anymore. I even had to buy a light today for inside my gun cabinet just to see what is in there. I also picked up some cleaning supplies. Those are expensive also.

Rimfire is dirty stuff, I have found CCI minimag to be much cleaner and much more reliable. Also copper coated is best, easier to clean than plain lead.

Converting my firearms to LASER sights costs bucks but much cheaper than it used to be. Bought a cheap universal boresight LASER to get the shots on the paper B4 range visits. Started paperwork on a pa$$port for my bucket list visit to the Scottish highlands (home ). Tickets for the trip will be a real significant purchase IF they let me have a passport.

I want a gun but I’m pretty sure I would off myself. .38special Guns are not the most efficient way to 'off' yourself. A guy near me tried it and merely put himself in the hospital for weeks while they rebuilt his head. I am not sure what he used but I am sure the 'hospital' he went to afterwards took it away... They're Coming to Take Me Away, Ha-Haaa!
I use guns for target shooting. I find it fun and relaxing. I admire the fine craftsmanship that 'sometimes' went into making them.
