I had to pause the video real quick just to let you know how cool that bouncy ass shock is! Yeah, I'm in contact with a guy that rebuilds these shocks. He may: be able too hook me up with a tighter spring, after filling the shock with the correct amount of oil and nitrogen. Speaking of oil, it had leaked a little gear oil during shipping, and I Forgot about lt. I really need to change it, I hope it wasn't dry...

Yeah that shock needs some work definitely, Sounds good though as is in stock form, that red car look close to taking you out don't know if you noticed it! I'd try to rebuild them yourself I wouldn't pay someone to do it,that kinda of money could go towards a nice malossi shock

I think that red car was pissed because I slowed down for the corner, wet roads, and no working signals. I guess they didn't understand the hand signal. I wonder if these shocks seem horrible because they're intended to be both used at once?

You can stiffen the spring rate by removing several coils and fabbing a spacer where the coils were cut..If its progressive wound, cut the close wound coils.Thats the first thing I'd do..While the spring is off ,feel if there is a 'dead spot' in the hydraulic damper,if so the oil level is low and needs to be topped up,says 7 weight in that rebuild thread,ATF is 7 weight also...

Yeah, I'm going to start trying to round up the necessary items to attempt this. I really wish I would've done better research lol. The gentleman that does the shocks has been very helpful and responsive to emails so far. He seems to have a good knowledge of what's going on, and he already told me that if I was only going to do one shock that it might not be worth it for either of us. So I may just try my own routes, or write these off as a loss and get a single shock that's built properly.
Back to cvt, I'm about to see if my other, smaller clutch bell will work on this with my malossi delta clutch. Even though I really need to check up on the Tao to get it out of the driveway and move the battle scooter up and get it's motor back in to get it gone. Too much to do, too little time...

I am probably selling my Motoforce clutch, maybe i can hook you up there, i will see if it is compatible
Can you mount the license plate sideways on the engine?
and cut the silly plastic on the butt off

If I go with a standard sized clutch I have to get a smaller bell. If yours it's 107 then yeah. I've already tried my delta clutch that fits gy6 and my Kymco and the tgb. That clutch is toast. I stated earlier that I would assume a smaller clutch and bell would be less rotational mass, which I wouldn't mind.

Just thought I'd put this out there, this thing is embarrassingly poor, performance wise. I'm thinking between getting clutch engagement to be at a higher rpm, new variator, and bigger carb I might get closer to the s9 performance. Also, I need to check the swish like niz suggested. It just seems weak. And the odd vibrations are driving me crazy. The forks seem to be the exact same amount dropped, by my cheap calipers. It might be that my motor is practically butted up against the mount. Still a long ways to go...

I think I just need to get a variator, clutch, and put my larger carb on. I need either an adapter or new intake. Also, I'd like to get a gasket set so that I can pull the top end, clean up and open some ports, and make sure the squish is right. It just doesn't seem to have much power. I know I shouldn't have expected a gem from the beginning, but a glimmer of hope would've been nice lol. My vibrations I want to say are related to my mount setup. I think I need to reposition, reinforce, and maybe add some rubber bushings in a spot or two.

I haven't used any top end gaskets for most of my builds in a very long time. I find that 99% of the time I benefit from using no base gasket (Moto1 seal only) and no head gasket (copper spray only) to get the squish and compression numbers better for more power! My 90cc build was a lame duck in the beginning too- they're not really bolt-on beasts like many expect them to be- takes some tuning to unlock the power! A little maunual adjustment of the timing at the stator also made a world of difference for me...

You're probably right about the carb being to small. Anything bigger you can slap on there to test it out?
