Ok it looks like I might have ordered the wrong Variator. Weird though because I was browsing products for old Jogs. I also can't find the product in their shop anymore. 241.707 throws no results but 241.727 does. Looks like the 707 is for no splines cranks like the Evo crank, which means that the rear plate has no teeth! So useless for me. I wrote them 2 e-mails I just hope that I'm not too late. katastroff if you read this please stop the order from being shipped!!!

Yeah I hope so too otherwise this is a $111 CAD paper weight. I still find it odd that the product is not in their shop anymore and I highly doubt that I browsed the wrong Scooter when ordering. The order has not gone to shipped status yet. We'll see... Worst case scenario I will need to find a back plate and a drive boss for a 13mm crank.

Found a parts catalog (pdf) from Polini and there you can see the parts that are listed in those sets. Besides the main ref#, the ramp plate and bushings seem to be different or have a different number, the rest is all same. If I am lucky it might be that the Set with number 241.707 is an older Version of the new Evo Set (ref# 241.727). Maybe chrome back plate vs black back plate? Or back plate with teeth and without? Not sure. Either way very confusing everything.
Set ref# 241.727 241.707
Roller weights (size, weight, ref#) 19x15,5 | 3,2 | 242.086 + 19x15,5 | 3,8 | 242.333 19x15,5 | 3,2 | 242.086 + 19x15,5 | 3,8 | 242.333
Ramp plate 31/H06 31/D1
Bushing ref# 242.053 242.029
Drive Boss size 13x22x49 13x22x49
Spacer ref# 323.0010 323.0010
Shims ref# 246.048 246.048

scooter-attack.com lists the 241.707 as 13mm minarelli type so it might really just be old set vs new set but both are for 13mm minarelli. Here the link as proof. So I can shift down the panic gear. lol

Yeah, when you start to get a bit worried the brain cells start to sparkle and move. I will be 100% relieved when they can confirm that it is the correct one. Time zone difference is the issue here, they'll probably answer when I am sleeping. They won't like me after spamming them with e-mails.

241.671 is what I ordered for 13mm crank.

241.671 is what I ordered for 13mm crank. That is the correct normal hi-speed variator with the 16x13 rollers. I have no 100% proof that what I said is correct regarding the old version vs new version Evo set but it is the only logical explanation I could find. I will report back once I get an answer from the shop.

Yes 13x16 this is just the normal hi speed not the evo. I emailed and checked prior to purchase to confirm it was for 13mm crank as I'm using a malossi rhq which is the 13mm splined shaft.

7am here, still a bit grogy...just looked at the e-mails and saw this.
So my final guess was correct old set vs new set.

That's good to know. A blood pressure check might show normal now?

Hahaha...yeah all is back to normal. Pressure valves - checked, blood valves - checked, all systems are good.
They sure got me worried there. If I would live in the US all this would be no problem even if they would send something wrong. But imagine how much shipping it would cost to send a wrong item back from Japan. The Evo shipping alone cost me almost same much as the hi-speed variator that ryan got.
Anyways all is good now and I can go to work with a calm mind.

I find it strange that there isn't a bunch of tuners and tuning shops in Japan. Aren't scooters popular there?
