I like this one but afraid it might melt anyone running a plastic cooling ring & how does it stay on??? Stared at pics but don't see how? I like the idea but ... most scoots use a plastic cooling fun. The star washer hold it on from the looks of your pic.

I guess I'll just buy it then i will understand. .. its from Polini .. Ima end up with ,,3 different fixed pulleys : Malossi with large fins(very nice Italian) Polini with huge fan ring(like this one) Artek with no cooling fins(for open-case, showing off:)

But then, i also havent heard of anyone buying one. Polini doesnt have the habit of selling crap, but i'll get more info and get back to you about it.

Looks like it's splined in the center, and most fixed halves for these are not so they rely solely on the key to hold them in place. I guess a little adhesive of some sort and it's enough to keep 'em together since each part is locked to the crank and the bond wouldn't be subjected to that torque. Just a guess.

Ok so thought id update since some of y'all fallow I like to ride my zuma fast- bit of a show off & i thought i was ok at tuning soooo the story goes like this... The other night i thought id try a 36:1 semi synthetic (Lucas) mix but wait there's more i also had left a rated7 plug from back when i was experimenting on a really cold day! Ok to make it worse i leaned out the mix(what is wrong with me) then ran it hard all night with friends that all have much bigger bikes. Almost hundred miles- died on the way back at a lite, refused to start. Ok walked it back to friends place. Next day gathered tools, everything scooter related & a good motor/swingarm case ready to go. Tore her apart n first thing i notice is the previous owner had put a metal head gasket instead of a Oring type! The gasket got beat up from overlap and was missing metal. The cylinder had some areas that definitely wore but not sure if it's normal for horizontal motor to do that on the exhaust side(thats where scrapes/heat mark are? Sanded the cylinder & the piston inspected rings put back together and BAM it's running again -like beast but no idle?? Could not get it to no matter how. Next day i tore down to the reeds built up from there.. I traded out theair filter, checked lines. Good. The carb float was not perfect so to tweaked it, while in there made sure all's clean n switch main from a 95 to 97. Also removed xtra gasket in reed/space/manifold stack and sand the edges round the intake manifold so the built in ring gasket could seal better. All together start her up mess with it a bit and i got idle really good too. Ran super with the 97 a little rich for better cooling and better for high revs/speeds i do with the upgears. So i will NEVER run 36:1 nor a #7 plug and also did ALOT of reading cuz i had been a lazy tuner but now im good to go Out of everything i read to date the BEST tuning guide for novices and even pro's -- 49ccscoot f.a.q. page that dude wrote a guide so that a monkey can now tune a 70cc scoot into a reliable running beast! Thanks for that read! By the way incase ye worried i made a gasket that fits now n ordering O-rings, later skater
