I am being forced to work on flat pack crap. I hate it 😠 First 5 mins and screw holes for one fixing not even there. Checked and rechecked in case I wrong but I am not . Now run away for coffee. Eldest daughter really good at it but she is nearly 200 miles away in Nottingham and just laughing.

Sounds like someone at the flat pack factory took a coffee break and forgot a hole...

As far as what I worked on today, First Day of the new year: fixed a good friends wndshield wiper arms, on a Nissan. They now work fine. One had come loose and stripped the splines which fix it to its drive shaft. Ordered a new one from the big A and it arrived without any splines. Of course. (Universal fit?) (translation: universally fits nothing) Of course the A site said exact fit for the year and model. Well, I sucessfully cleaned and affixed the arm to its shaft with Very clean parts, blue loctite, lockwasher and a lot of torque. Should work a long time. Also put in RainX washer fluid to reduce wipiing friction. Helped me make a solumn (SP., sorry) New Years Resolution: Never Work On Another Persons Car Or Truck Period. Period. Ever. Did I mention I cracked the windshield doing this? Oh yeah, I did. If that is a New years omen, I guess this was my last New Year.

Man, been years since I last logged and chatted! Yes, I was the guy with the gilera Stalker which I nicknamed gillian Anderson 🤣 What I worked on today was my return on two wheels. Bought, not a scooter, but a motorbike. Mini-bike to be more precise. Not a 50cc. But a 125cc Honda Dax.
I get it next week after the licence plate is given
Cheers everyone!

My shed and my overgrown backyard. Raccoons had got into my shed and crapped in one corner. It will be a few days before I get that cleaned up. I spent most of the day clipping branches off a few young Redbud trees I let grow, some too near my house. I have let them grow to shade the house on the South and West sides. My AC unit needs all the help I can give it to cool the house with global warming. The trees do not get very tall so if I keep a few limbs trimmed there should be no danger to the house. Last night was an Ibuprofen night... I still have much to do in the backyard.

My Lathe. It seems I blew the motor drive controller when I was parting a piece of aluminum and locked the lathe up. Currently looking for a substitute controller that does not cost $200 +
