I met wife in New York City, she's native Thai. But yeah, the dollar goes a LONG way in Thailand, it's great, almost live like royalty. White man is god over there hah! *edit* The Ruckus purchase was Thai-inspired. They're badass looking on the streets of Bangkok. Was so close to getting a MSX 125 (aka Grom in the U.S.) but somehow landed on the Ruck. It was a good decision

"Only" one more day of mandatory quarantine as punishment for traveling to a high risk state. Going a bit stir crazy. Friends & family are probably getting sick of my deep dive text conversations. Washed car inside and out today, probably last wash of the season. Car cover goes on tonight. Gave it a good four hours of lovin'. Zaino makes great car care products. Their liquid leather in a bottle is awesome on leather interior, smells brand new.

Woke up this morning looked at my phone and saw it was 7:14. WTH! My alarm didn't go off, figures I have a PoS Apple phone that likes to do that. Threw on my uniform and headed into work. Opened the place up, started bleeding the brakes on a truck I replaced the brake lines on Friday. 8:30 rolls around and the USPS still hasn't shown up for their scheduled inspection, so anticipated a text letting me know they broke something over the weekend. 8:45 showed and still nothing look at my cell and finally noticed it's SUNDAY! Such an idiot, oh well might as get the job done to make for a lax Monday. Damn it man! Do you know how much bourbon burns when it comes out of your nose from laughing? That sounds like Covid calendar right there - just one big long day. On the plus side, most days I can toss a hot spot and my laptop in my backpack and work from most anywhere. Am seriously considering a large power cel to run the laptop from, but most stuff I can do from my phone. And it’s not like my boss is going to jam on me - he’s surfing as many days as he can! Just comes in every 30-40 mins to check emails/voice mails.

I'd probably just ride the scooter around all day if I didn't have to go in. Now your boss has a dream job, everybody that walks through the door is my boss and a few of them can be real a-holes.

I woke up to a big paint bubble dripping water from the ceiling. Got up in the attic and it looks like the roof is leaking around a vent. The roof was just redone almost exactly 2 years ago. Supposed to be a 5 year warranty on workmanship. Hopefully they cover the damage to the drywall and paint and fix that as well so I don't have to mess with it.
EDIT : Update : The roofer came out and said it'll all be covered. He'll get the ceiling repaired and all. Seems like how it should be, but you never know if it's actually going to be that easy.

You can get that rust off the handlebars by rubbing them with a small wad of aluminum foil dipped in vinegar. Then wash and wax them.
How are the batteries?

The '05 Nissan Altima was nasty. Had mold in cracks and crevices. About 3 shades darker than the white it's supposed to be. I didn't even realize it was that bad because I just don't pay attention to it, but when I saw green I had to clean it. Washed it, used a toothbrush in cracks and crevices, waxed, Rain-X, new wiper blades, and sanded and polished the headlight housings that were dull, opaque, yellow. Now the cool part. The horse farm across the road had a monster truck there today. I guess some event for kids with maybe 20 people out there, prob due to COVID. Whatever the reason, I'm totally fine with hearing a BIG block with bare headers off and on. Mostly just moving it around, but they did put on a quick show this afternoon, doing donuts and romping around for a couple of minutes. Watching a monster truck from the comfort of the garage... I'll take it! Plus, no one can ever complain about a loud scooter now. "They had a MONSTER TRUCK doing donuts!!!"
